So I had 1 syringe of under eye filler done in 2021. I got .5 ml on each side. I’m currently sick with possibly the flu or some sort of respiratory illness. My left tear trough has swelled up like I had just got my filler done. I seriously thought the filler was gone because my under eyes look how they did before I got it done. My right eye has no swelling at all. Should I be concerned?!?
Answer: Eye Your swelling may be related to the drainage from your eye into your nose. Your filler is no longer present.

Answer: Under eye filler swelling after 3 years, should I be concerned? Sorry to hear about this. I would advise you see your injector or another provider to be evaluated. You are likely having some type of inflammatory response to the filler in place and it may need to be treated with medications and if it does not improve, it may need to be dissolved. Good luck! Answer: Under eye filler swelling after 3 years, should I be concerned? Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. A small subset of patients have similar issues when they develop a head cold, sinus infection, or flu, but once the illness resolves the area of the undereye should return to its previous appearance. Once recovered you can then decide if you would like to have dissolving agent placed in the location of filler in order to limit the chances of this happening again.

Answer: Under eye swelling years after filler Hello, and thank you for your question about swelling under the eye. This is very common. Although it can seem alarming at the time, it is just your bodies response to the virus. When we get sick, our body attacks any foreign "agents" in the body to get rid of them. This response causes the swelling, but it will subside when your sickness is over. You can always add an antihistamine while you are dealing with the swelling to take it down. While the filler may look like it has all dissolved, there will still be filler deep in the tissue for possibly many years. I hope this answers your question, good luck on your journey and I hope you feel better!

Answer: Late onset lower eyelid swelling with sinus infection vs HA filler? Based on your nicely posted, one photo an over two year filler injection to the tear troughs or lower eyelids most likely is metabolized away. But it depends on what type filler was injected. If it was a hyaluronic acid, it should be away or you might have residual micro granulomas? But since you have a sinus infection, most likely after you were over this episode of the “” flu seek a lid ultrasound to see what the swelling might have been due to. Expect fee to range from $500-$1200 for the ultrasound. Regards.
