How are my lip injections making me sick and is there another option?

I got lip injection Juvederm after, on the second day I had a feeling of panic attacks. I had flu symptoms (fever 103, body aches, migraine, and vomiting).I went to the E.R. as I was not getting better and was very dehydrated and was miserable. Months later I went back and explained what had happen and I was assured that fillers what not cause that reaction, but she used Restylane this time for my lip fillers.SAME THING.

The symptoms that you experienced after fillers are not typical.  Sometimes the fillers are mixed with another medication used for numbing, or sometimes the injector uses a topical numbing medication on the skin prior to injections.  You may wish to consider implants or fat transfer as alternative treatments.

I have no good explanation for this problem but can reassure you it is not the filler. Is there a medication given at the time of injections or a numbing injection/numbing cream?  This is more likely the reason. Botox/Dysport can do this but not fillers. Other options are implants (not recommended) or fat transfer.
