I got Juvederm Voluma 4 days ago. I got one sringe and the doctor struggled to get the product in my left cheek. On day 3, I went back to my doctor who assessed my left cheek, she felt it was from deep skin trauma not an infection but she gave me antibiotics. Today is day 4, although my cheeks aren't as red they still feel very hot and I am applying ice to both cheeks where the needle went in. The rest of my face is fine and I am not in pain although my left cheek is still slightly swollen.
Ive seen on many RealSelf post that doctors say to ice the area after fillers to make swelling go down. However, when I got my lips done today my injector told me to not ice the area, not even after 42 hours because this will cause the filler to travel. So I just want more opinions on if I could ice it or not, and if not can I have other suggestions to make swelling go away quicker?
I usually bruise after getting lip injections, although ice helps with the swelling. I thought that perhaps having a cryo facial (no traditional facial techniques or manipulation of muscles, just cold air therapy) afterwards would be even more beneficial.
2 hours later lips started swelling and have been swelling for the last 4 hours still. Ive taken antihistamine and diclac and iced. Lips are still swelling.this is my second time using juvederm. First time I did not have an immediate reaction but three months later upon having a viral infection I experienced severe swelling that was managed with a steroid. Not sure what to do. How much more can they swell before Ive to become concerned ?
Esthetician suddenly gets extremely focused and started to massage lip, nurse brought hot cloths, icing. Another esthetician was contacted. My skin had gone pale on left side above lip, but Short after it was gone, she told me and explained. Luckily I just ended up with a bruise on lip one above lip. 4 days post its fading. My concern; is this state something an esthetician can make sure is avoided? Should I consider changing esthetician? Been happy with previous lip procedures by her. Thank you
I got 1ml of Juvederm for the first time on my lips today and they've swollen up completely on one side with a lot of bruising. Is this normal? I've been putting ice on it and have taken some antihistamines. Is there anything else I can do to speed up the process. I'm freaking out!
I got Juvederm injected into my lips 3 days ago. The injector hit a vessel and i instantly Bruised in that area. I iced all day yesterday and using arnica. The swelling has gone down a little. Its really sensitive along with my mustache area. It feels like there might be smalls cuts on the inside when talking so Ive been applying neosporin to that area. My injector says Ill be fine and to keep icing but Ive been reading a lot about vessels getting hit and Im worried.pictures were taken today
