I had a terrible initial reaction where I heavily bruised and bled during the procedures. The nurse didnt complete the full .5 vile as she wanted to make sure I was ok and couldnt tell what was swelling vs injection. Today the swelling has gone down but my upper lip is severely upturned and looks duck like with severe unevenness to the top lip. Is that swelling too? Or did she inject too high into the skin? When I smile my lip folds up.
I went a week ago exactly to receive Juvederm for my hollow under eyes. I immediately bruised which I knew would happen to my skin but I noticed a lump also with it. When she was adding the filler into my left eye she mentioned she hit a vessel/vein (dont remeber what she actually said) but that I was bleeding, she wasnt worried so I didnt either! Now that Ive had this lump Im wondering if this is a cause of that incident & if I should be worried & go in. It doesnt hurt just is a hard lump
I recently was injected with Juvederm in the lips by a very experienced Nurse Practitioner Injector. I ended up getting 2 hematomas (top left lip and bottom right lip). It took over a week for the 2 hematomas to completely go away (the bottom one actually bled out to below my lip line). It was definitely 2 hematomas and not just normal bruising. My injector told me she's never had someone get 2 hematomas during one treatment before. How likely is it this will continue to happen if I get injected again?
I was brushing my teeth about 8 hours after my injection and I noticed a bit of minor bleeding at one of the injection sites. Do I need to be worried that this is a sign of infection? Or will a lump form?
Hi hope someone could advise. I had lip filler (juvederm) injected by a new practitioner 2 days ago. My lip immediately bruised aswell as the face area around my lips. It has now begun bleeding again internally and my lips have cracked and are bleeding slightly externally. I know this is NOT normal.. Should I be worried?
I've had my lips filled 4 times now & during my appt yesterday (new injector this time) I had significant bleeding. With each place she poked the needle, (she was aggressive with it) I could feel blood continually pour down my face from that spot. We had to keep wiping it. One spot she poked made me bleed so much that it poured into my mouth &stained my teeth with blood. She wouldn't wait for the blood to stop before injecting again. I bled all over her mirror. I've never had this happen before.
About a month ago I went to see my injector for cheek fillers. I have had the procedure done dozens of times without much bruising or discomfort. Until last visit when the injector broke the needle inside my face mid-procedure. There wasnt a ton of bleeding so I powered through the remainder of the session. The area felt very tender for a few days but though the soreness went away, the bruising never entirely faded. How can I address the remaining bruise on my face?
I had Juvederm injected in my lips yesterday and this morning one of the injection sites was painful. When I washed my face it bled a tiny bit so I applied a little pressure and some clear gel-like substance came out. It stopped after I left it alone. I am guessing this was some Juvederm, but am worried it could be an infection so I put some antibiotic ointment on the area. I am really scared now that I will get an infection and want to know if anyone else had this or if it is normal?
