I have no harden areas, redness, fever but I have a sensation of warmth internally but not when touching the skin. I've taken NSAIDs and applied warm compress. The lymph node swollen x 2 weeks now. I have an appt set up to evaluate it. Can this be a seroma, abscess, fat necrosis? How is one from the other determined if there is no area clearly visible? If antibiotics are given shouldn't the bacteria be determined?
Hello! I had a BBL 4/5/21. Ive attached pictures of my stomach before (labeled w B) and pictures after. I had a seroma on my left and right side after surgery which has hardened. Im not sure if I have fibrosis, received bad lipo, or what but I need helping on how to fix this. I am 35 years old 57 155lbs. Id like a tummy tuck to be the last resort and Im scared that lipo may cause more damage but Im open to anything atp. Please help!
Dealing with traumatic Seroma in buttock and want reconstruction. plastic surgeon excised capsule as Seroma became chronic. After excision, fluid reabsorbs and then comes back after a few days. This has been going on for 2 & 1/2 months now. Surgeon l could not get all of the capsule out, but excised most and reassures me that remaining capsule will collapse into scar tissue and then soften. Does capsule need to be fully excised for Seroma to end? Want fat transfer to fix contour deformity.
I got my BBL in 2019 and there is a seroma in the middle of my right cheek. I am super insecure about it, especially now since losing weight makes it more noticeable (my left cheek gets smaller with the rest of my body; but because of the fluid on the right side, it appears much larger). I know there are risks of infection if I were to drain it, but I would like advice from professionals on what I should do, as I live in a state where there are not many surgeons who specialize in BBLs too.
Buttock reconstruction after trauma. I was in an accident in the beginning of April 22 left me with a large subcutaneous hematoma on my left buttock. I had it aspirated in the beginning of may, and it turned into a Seroma. The doc that aspirated the hematoma tried to drain the Seroma two weeks later but could not get it all out. I am now trying to find a plastic surgeon to aspirate the Seroma before it becomes encapsulated.
I had lipo with BBL on 10/19, so I am post -op day #11. I have had issues with seromas and inflammation, mostly to my suprapubic region and lower abdomen. I feel that the compression is not enough. I have bought a waist cincher, which the doctor's assistant suggested and it works, but I can not wear it for long periods of time because of the tightness/soreness. Do you recommend spanx with butt-lifter, waist cincher, or a tighter post-surgical compression garment with use of lipo foam and boards?
I had 6 lymphatic massages, needed a second drain put in 3 weeks after surgery due to Seromas. I had an 8x10 size area of necrosis on my left side due to extreme compression and therefore could not wear a tight enough compression garment after surgery or get more massages until the necrosis healed. All is healed there but now I am left looking disfigured. The fat transfer wasnt matched up with my hip bones and also have dents there too. Would a revision BBL fix me?
Ive been getting my seroma drained for a year now twice a month. It always comes back theres always fluid each time. What are my options? My dr has only suggested draining nothing else Another thing is there seems to be no idea how I got a seroma on my leg after lipo and bbl , it showed up 1 year later
I received BBL April 12th. The area above my vagina/groin area was very bruised and swollen afterward, with 2 incisions. In the last couple days it has gone from squishy and swollen to a firmer consistency you can palpate. It feels like a hot dog under the skin on each side. The right side feels bigger. I live in Oregon and my surgeon is in Cali, just wonder if it could be seromas? Or something that needs removed. I tried marking on the picture where you can palpate the firmer swelling.
