I would NOT do this again if I had the choice. I had to have monovision where they only work on one eye, and the although the procedure and healing were non-eventful, I think I actually would rather wear reading glasses. If you are considering Lasik for mono-vision, I implore you to wear... READ MORE

After alternating between glasses and lenses for the last 15 years, I finally went in for LASIK last week. My numbers weren't bad (about -2, both eyes), with the left eye improving by -0.5 in the last couple of years. I used to be a fan of wearing contact lenses earlier, and in fact often would... I decided to undergo Lasik because I heard such great things about it and wanted to be rid of contacts and glasses. I am farsighted and have astigmatism so i had a bit of trouble seeing even with my glasses. I got Lasik 10 days ago. The procedure was painless and took about 10 minutes total for... READ MORE

I'm 48 wear contacts and also readers. My eye doc said if I got lasik I would still have to wear my readers but I found another doc that has some of "inlay" procedure to eliminate readers. Being in this business I know how consultations go and just wanted some feedback if anyone else has had... READ MORE

I had an excellent experience at Dr. Chynn's Laser Vision Center in NYC. Dr. Chynn is fixing extreme cases that no other surgeon in the U.S. let alone NYC can touch. Dr. Chynn can do this because of the no-flap LASEK technique he invented at Harvard. I flew in all the way from Bulgaria because... READ MORE

I had a mild myopia since I was 17. I tried contact lenses but got tired of the maintenance they required to avoid eye infections. I started wearing eyeglasses permanently (even prescribed sunglasses) in order to halt any progression of my myopia. I was able to keep my -1.50 (LE) and -0.5 (RE)... READ MORE

I didn't ever seriously consider LASIK due to the cost - I'd rather have spent the money on travel, as contact lenses weren't too much trouble for me (I hated wearing glasses though), however when my husband offered to pay I jumped at the opportunity. Today is Day 8 after LASIK. Everything is... READ MORE

I had Lasik 5 weeks ago and wanted to share my experiences with anyone going through it like I am. I'm not going to get into detail the actual procedure as plenty has been written on that but the after effects and remedy's I went through so far. I had my custom Wavefront Lasik performed by the... Best decision ever! My prescription was -3.75 and I had astigmatism. I wore contacts to go out only, because at work my eyes got super dry. I bought a GroupOn and got FABULOUS treatment (I know, crazy crazy me buying groupon for Lasik surgery). Everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating... READ MORE

After struggling with contact lenses and glasses for 40+ years. I finally decided to get lasiik surgery. I did lot of research and opted to use Dr. Ross Parks at the Florida Eye Clinic in Kissimmee, Fl. I did call two of the larger Lasik centers in Orlando who advertise a lot on the radio.... READ MORE

I was highly myopic (-10) with astigmatism since I was young, 8, Surgery when I was 29. Had great results that lasted about 10 yrs. I am now a -3 to -3.5, so no matter what anyone says, it's not permanent. Everyone I know who had it more than 8yrs ago, has changed. Of course -3 is better than... READ MORE

It’s been just shy of one year since my LASIK procedure, and like many others, I view it as one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. As an active guy, I always despised my glasses. I wore contacts almost all of the time, and would often go through 2 pairs of daily use lenses per day, as ... READ MORE

I had laser eye surgery done when I was 19, once my eyesight had been stable for over 2 years. It was definitely worth it - I hated wearing glasses, contact lenses were expensive in the long term and painful if they rip while being worn. I had my surgery a few years ago now, and so remember... The procedure itself was a breeze. Recovery was fine also. My reading is phenomenal now, prior I'd get headaches, tired and give up. Looking at my phone & computer prior the treatment lead to all sorts of neck & shoulder problems. I'd know I'd be doing it, I'd 'crane' my neck into an awkward... READ MORE

I paid $4,300 to have it done in Anchorage, Alaska, plus travel costs (total was close to $8,000 because I was in rural Alaska at the time). The procedure itself was painless. Recovery time was very fast, I was pain free in a couple of hours and the next day i could read and watch TV. My vision... READ MORE

I will love to share my lasik experience with you. Let me start from the beginning. My lasik operation was to be done 20 days ago. Still can't say something of the total outcome as the kind of vision being expected before the procedure is still not achieved. The surgery was done almost two months already .But I am still hanging on for the at least three months healing period or so for the improvement of my vision.Lasik... READ MORE

Before the surgery I was -2.00 in my left eye and -1.75 in my right. Post surgery I'm -.29 in my left and +.13 in my right. Sounds good right?? Wrong! My left eye is incredibly problematic in dim/dark settings-- I see 20/15 on the snellen chart in that eye but the second I step into a low light... READ MORE

I don't remember exactly when I got it done but I wish I done it sooner! I wore contacts religiously and would wear each pair much longer than anyone was supposed. With out contacts I would consider myself legally blind but now I have 20/15 vision. Hands down the best thing I have ever done! Dr... READ MORE
