I had Vbeam laser surgery on my cheeks on both sides of my face on Monday and today if Friday. They told me it would only last a few days. It looked awful the first few days and not much better now. I think the doctor used a high setting (heard him tell the technician to set it up to ?? before starting. I don't want to go out of my house looking like this. How long before this goes away and I can feel normal looking again?
I went in for a Vbeam on a pretty old hypertrophic scar on my nose that was very red. At first I thought the VBeam worked great (a day or 2) after the healing, the scar looked much, much lighter but about a week later, the redness returned; granted not to the same degree. This is not rosacea, its a hypertrophic scar on my nose so I'm wondering why the redness returned to the treated area even though a few days after healing it seemed much lighter?
Treatment was for facial redness Is this possibly part of the healing process, as my doctor said it can take 6 weeks to achieve full results (and then more treatments may be needed depending on results)? I avoided any harsh skin products, strenuous exercise, and alcohol for the past 2 weeks. I've only just started to spot treat minor acne lesions with benzoyl peroxide. The only extended time in the sun I got was about 30 minutes of golf 1 week after treatment and I was wearing SPF 50
I got a scar from a botched procedure 2 years ago and I've had around 7 Excel V treatments. It has helped me marginally, but I'm really fair skin and the redness from the scar is still quite dark. Do you think the VBeam might help? I've read the VBeam has settings where you can bruise the surface area for a stronger healing process. It seems the Excel V can't break down the blood vessels in my scar. Seeing if VBeam or a Q-switch laser could make a bigger impact on the redness. Thoughts?
I had a vbeam 1 week ago. The days after I didn't let anything except water on my skin because I wanted to give my sensitive skin time to heal itself and I did not leave the house anyway (so Make-up was not needed). But yesterday I read that that after vbeam it is important to apply moisturizer on your face daily. Do I have to be afraid that the laser was not effective because I did not moisturize enough? Thanks for your answers
Can they heal in time? Had vbeam done twice, once in june and once in october. He said the settings were moderate, 7 whatever you call it, joules? Well anyways I'm left with red marks that are slightly indented. I'll share some pics this time! I threw in some before pics as well.
The blisters I sustained are small and appear to be closed. I am currently applying aquaphor ointment and spraying mineral water on the area as opposed to agitating with a regular washing. How fast should the blisters heal and can they scar? The photos are Day 3 since the treatment.
