No moisturizer after Vbeam - no results ?

Question

I had a vbeam 1 week ago. The days after I didn't let anything except water on my skin because I wanted to give my sensitive skin time to heal itself and I did not leave the house anyway (so Make-up was not needed). But yesterday I read that that after vbeam it is important to apply moisturizer on your face daily. Do I have to be afraid that the laser was not effective because I did not moisturize enough? No, not using moisturiser for a week is highly unlikely to affect the outcome.However, skincare is important and if you are having treatment because of facial redness, rosacea etc, uv protection is even more important in maintaining the results.

I am not sure what you had treated with the Vbeam (rosacea, telangiectasias, angioma etc) but the moisturizer is not as critical for your results.  Routine skin care is important to stave off aging changes.

Your results can depend on a number of things. Always make sure you are getting after-care advice from your doctor or professional doing the laser. Putting on a soothing and hydrating serum and/or moisturizer after getting a laser done is common practice however every individual is different. The type of moisturizer you use will depend on your skin type. It is not too late, start moisturizing and if you do leave your home use sunscreen as well.Your results might depend on the settings of the laser as well. Settings can be adjusted and you might just need to go higher. You might also need more than one session to see results.
