Hello, I got rhinoplasty 3 years ago, I HAD the nose I wanted for a year. It did always fluctuate. Some days it looked SO SMALL! My nose is thick & oily. recently it has become extremely swollen during flares (salty food & heat). It just rests permanently at a swollen state. Taping fixes it temporarily. Why is this happening? How can I achieve my old results & latch the skin tighter on the revised cartilage? Are injections only temporary? what about accutane?I want to avoid revision
I had the surgery done over 3 years ago, & ive been getting swollen/red for about 8 months now. Ive seen an allergist, my surgeon, & multiple dermatologists. Nobody knows what is going on. Exercising, heat, low humidity, high sodium meals all trigger it badly. It practically doubles in size & gets really red. What could this be? Only thing I havent tried was steroid injections & Isotretinoin. My derm thinks its morbihans disease. Its difficult to breathe during a trigger.
I had a rhinoplasty last year and I still have redness inside my nose. It looks like red horizontal veins with redness in the background. It doesnt really bother me, but I feel like it contributes to my morning face and nose swellings that goes away after I have a glass water. Im not sure if I should be worried and I dont know what causes it. Maybe pet allergy I have and I have 3 cats? Ive been told to take antibiotics for 7 days but I have gastritis, its painful for me..any suggestions?tnx
What could this be from? My nose healed without a hitch. It was the best decision I ever made. My doctor is one of the best, he is located in Newport Beach, CA. I did not injure or bump it anywhere. Today is the second consecutive day of these symptoms. It doesn't look too obviously swollen with the eye, but if you press on the affected side you can feel some sort of swelling/fluid retention on that side compared to the other side which is just skin and bone (the way it usually is).
Around 4 months after Rhinoplasty my nose started becoming swollen, red and pulsate every single night at 10pm, I don't sleep at that time. This has been going on for the past months and it doesn't seem to go away. My dermatologist said it might be Rosacea or maybe an Infection. I've been on meds for the past few weeks it doesn't seem to get better. I am getting paranoid that this constant swelling at 10pm which lasts for about 4 hours is going to ruin my nose tip results
Hello! I had a primary rhinoplasty almost 16 months ago, and I thought all swelling would go away by now. But when I wear sunglasses, I get a visible trace (some depth and redness) on the right side of the nose, and nothing on the left side. Is it possible that there is still some swelling left/the nose is still healing? Thank you very much!
I had rhinoplasty about 18 months ago to straighten my nose and minor hump reduction. I was initially happy with the results but around 9 months postop I noticed redness / Telangiectasia that seems to have slowly gotten worse. I also noticed a small notch that I hadn't noticed before. My doctor tried filler for the notch and lazer for the red mark. Neither have worked. Do I have any other options? Is revision an option or would it make it worse?
Hello. I had an open rhinoplasty in 2019, then a minon revision (was awake for this, just a small touch up) in early 2021. The tip of my nose always seems to be a bit red. Should this be a cause for concern? The main things Im worried about are things like tissue death, necrosis, infection etc but Im not sure if those things are even possible years later. Is there a treatment for this?
