What could this be from? My nose healed without a hitch. It was the best decision I ever made. My doctor is one of the best, he is located in Newport Beach, CA. I did not injure or bump it anywhere. Today is the second consecutive day of these symptoms. It doesn't look too obviously swollen with the eye, but if you press on the affected side you can feel some sort of swelling/fluid retention on that side compared to the other side which is just skin and bone (the way it usually is).
Around 4 months after Rhinoplasty my nose started becoming swollen, red and pulsate every single night at 10pm, I don't sleep at that time. This has been going on for the past months and it doesn't seem to go away. My dermatologist said it might be Rosacea or maybe an Infection. I've been on meds for the past few weeks it doesn't seem to get better. I am getting paranoid that this constant swelling at 10pm which lasts for about 4 hours is going to ruin my nose tip results
Hello! I had a primary rhinoplasty almost 16 months ago, and I thought all swelling would go away by now. But when I wear sunglasses, I get a visible trace (some depth and redness) on the right side of the nose, and nothing on the left side. Is it possible that there is still some swelling left/the nose is still healing? Thank you very much!
I had rhinoplasty about 18 months ago to straighten my nose and minor hump reduction. I was initially happy with the results but around 9 months postop I noticed redness / Telangiectasia that seems to have slowly gotten worse. I also noticed a small notch that I hadn't noticed before. My doctor tried filler for the notch and lazer for the red mark. Neither have worked. Do I have any other options? Is revision an option or would it make it worse?
Hello. I had an open rhinoplasty in 2019, then a minon revision (was awake for this, just a small touch up) in early 2021. The tip of my nose always seems to be a bit red. Should this be a cause for concern? The main things Im worried about are things like tissue death, necrosis, infection etc but Im not sure if those things are even possible years later. Is there a treatment for this?
I have gotten a rhinoplasty done 6 months ago. At first I noticed a red spot on the horn/side tip of my nose where the end of the cartilage graft is. I asked my surgeon and he said the cartilage will eventually round out and it will go away. Now its a very white spot. Was he being honest with me?
had rhinoplasty in july of 2021. this pimple showed up around october and even though the redness will often fade it won't entirely go away. i was on accutane and the pimple did go away fully but the side effects were too tough i couldn't stay on it. had doctors and dermatologist say not to worry about if the pimple is anything more. trying hard to build my self-esteem back up following really tough identity issues post operation with a bit of regret. really would like any help or advice.
I had filler in my nose recently and there was a bad reaction so the filler was dissolved with hydronalaise - however a steroid was also injected into my nose to help with redness and it caused my own cartilage to be damaged and the injection site -can rhinoplasty help?
Ever since my rhinoplasty in 2011,I've been experiencing some swelling. My nose is swollen every day when I wake up (about 2-3 times the size). It takes a couple of hours for it to go down, but it never completely goes away. The swelling seems to be worse when I'm somewhere not airy.My nose gets red and swells up.Usually when it's swollen,I'll feel a discomfort in that area.It feels like the swelling is under my skin.I consulted with different surgeons,ENTs & an allergist,no one knows what's wrong.
