I just want to know whats the best position for sleep with out making it worse and helping it get reabsorbed by the body I do leave my compression on 24/7 off only for showers? Is flat better is semi Fowlers, side, fetal position.
I had a full tummy tuck, breast augmentation and lift 4 weeks and some days ago. Im still wearing my compression garments. Im getting back acne along my spine! I wash my garmets once a week. Im still sleeping sitting up or laying down on the couch, Ive only been sleeping on my back. Could that be it? Is this normal? Has any doctor heard of this before? Ive never had back acne in my life! Theres like a cluster of them. The compression bra is giving me seriously itchy skin on my sides too.
My drains were removed at 1 week post Tummy Tuck and Flank/Back liposuction. Each drain was drawing about 23-26 cc of fluid daily at that time. At 3 week, 4 days post op, I cannot tell if I have a seroma, or swelling. When foam inserts are placed in the garment to reduce indentation (from zipper and seams) there is a buildup of 'swell' in areas surrounding the foam. The foam itself leaves a significant indentation.
Im Day 19 Postop - was told by PS that I could double up on compression. I wore a Spanx type garment with binder over it. It wasnt uncomfortable and I could breathe just fine. I never felt like it was too much. I wore it for six hours then removed them for a shower. Immediately I noticed tons of swelling on incision line and pubic area, which have not occurred prior to this. I actually havent had much swelling until this. The incision line is also hard now. Did I mess something up?
I had an extended tummy tuck in May 2022, so Im right around the six month mark and Ive been having pain on the right side where the hourglass curve starts all the way to the belly button and it feels like nerve pain. I also feel like there may be a little bit more fat left over in that area. If I wear full compression or a belly wrap and everything is kept completely flat, the pain goes away. If I wear a compression tank top, like my doctor has instructed, the pain comes back. Is this normal?
I has a drainless TT and BL with Aug. along with lipo of the flanks 6 days ago. My surgeon gave me 2 binders to wear around the clock, which I've been doing. They keep shifting and folding. At post op apt I asked for a compression garment. He said he uses binders. He recommended Spanx. It seems most doctors on RS recommend a CG. I'm willing to buy one myself to return to work. How do I size myself? What kind should I buy? I'm so swollen that I'm measuring wider than pre surgery! Please advise.
I'm scheduled for a tummy tuck in April 21, and my doctor has advised that they generally don't use compression garments for abdominoplasty surgery, instead they use tubular bandage - I have a pre-op appointment coming up, so I will discuss. But is this tubular bandaging enough?
