I (38y/o fem) had two sculptra session this year spread 9 weeks apart. It has been 12 weeks since my last treatment. Mit face and jaw are heavy from new collagen .my surgeon isnt helping but tries to gaslight me into thinking it looks good.my smilelines are heavier than ever. Im so devastated. IGot a second opinion. They clarified I was never a good candidate to begin with but couldnt offer any help but to wait it out. I cant- is there anything that can be done to slightly improve my face?
I had two rounds of Sculptra this year. In each Session one vial was used in the cheekbone, jawline and nasolabial area. After the first round I barely Saw a difference. Now Im 10 weeks post the second treatment and my face looks distorted. I cant smile because my face is too heavy and I look puffy. Could this still be edema or is it overfill. My injector unfortunately isnt helpful but rather defensive. She says there is nothing she can do for me and that this is probably the end result.
I received 2 vials of sculptra at the beginning of November. I'm way overfilled! I look like a rectangle and completely lost all my feminine features. I saw a plastic surgeon today who said all I can do is wait. I'm too scared to do 5FU injections. There has to be something else I can do. Is there?? The after photo is from a month ago so it's not an accurate representation. My lower face is much wider now. Please help!!
I have some smile lines and early signs of aging so I became interested in sculptra. I bought four vials since there was a deal, expecting that I would only be injected with as much as needed and I could save the rest later for maintenance. However the injector is preparing two vials during each of two visits a month apart. Does this seem right? I am afraid this will cause an overfilled look
If hyaluronidase injections can be used on fibrotic scars to break down the connective tissues that give it height and volume, why can they not be used to address areas of overfill caused by Sculptra? I understand that hyaluronidase cannot target the Sculptra PLLA particles, but in cases of overcorrection, cant the hyaluronidase technically provide some degree of minor volume reduction if it can breakdown components of the ECM? Won't it produce at least some reduction?
How do doctors know how much Sculptra to put if the results don't show up right away like with other fillers such as Juvederm? Won't there be a risk of overfilling? If overfilled, is there a way to remove it?
At 63 I had 1.5 vials of lanluma 4 months ago and loved it. I had another 1.5 vials two days ago and am definitely over-filled. My lovely shaped face is round, chubby and I have chipmunk cheeks. I know this will be the end result as the swelling accurately showed the end result last time. I am so depressed I can't face a future with my face like this. Is there anything that can be done to prevent the further production of collagen? Steroids? I can't live like this. Please help.
I had sculptra injected and he put it in the opposite side of my face that needed it (one side was good on its own & another side needed a little extra filling) but he ended up overfilling the side that was already full and then placed sculptra in my jawline unevenly and it's been a month and now one side of my jaw is heavy and masculine looking. He injected 7 syringes which was about 3/4 of a vial. I turned 24 the week after I was injected. Please help. What can I do to prevent it from growing?
I had 1 vial of Sculptra injected 2 days ago. I only wanted fullness in apples of my cheeks. That day & today I see an overfilled unnatural looking cheekbone area yet still flat in cheek. I called with concern & was told they have to fan into cheekbone area also if they're doing apple. Is it true that you must go up and out to peripheral of face when filling apple area? Also, is the final result usually as full as it looks hours after injecting? Thanks so much for any insight.
