Hello I did Five sessions of SMP BUT i am so frustrated as it fades after two weeks only. After each session the procedure looks perfect but after one week, the dandruff comes out with the ink and it fades, i did five sessions till now and it is light not looks denser as i expected, my scalp is oily. I asked the artist he said my be the problem is from your scalp not from the artist, but i need an advice to make it fixed and i know the if there is any tips to make it good.
I'm planning to get scalp micropigmentation SMP on my FUE scars soon. I currently use minoxidil foam which is essentially just minoxidil dissolved in pure ethanol. Does ethanol applied to the skin longterm cause significant fading or blurring of the SMP dots?
ive had smp done and i love it , i am treating with kid gloves though , i machine shave it wash and moisturise every day , i want to go swimming but worry certain chemicals will fade it , is there anything apart from the sun you recommend to avoid , or can i just treat it as if it where real .
Scalp micro pigmentation after about two weeks, after each procedure the pigment has vanished. I understand there are immune system issues and post care op is critical. I have followed the post op care flawlessly. Some professionals have commented that the process needs to be adjusted to ensure that fading and vanishing of pigment does not happen again. Can some explain what this adjustment is about? The upshot is that this proves costly. For no real result or return. Not a happy client.
The practitioner I talked to says it fades after 5-8 years and you need touch ups. Does it mean it fades to a point where it is almost all gone and it doesn't look bad and detectable? I am really worried about having a bad tattoo on my head 10-15 years down the road. I also inquired about Tricomicropigmentation and was told that although it fades completely it does discolor, bleed and turn blue. I want to take the plunge but I am worried about the permanent effects.
Something that I'm worrying about is getting the solid ink look in the future. I've seen a lot of pictures of people who had had the treatment and noticed that after a while the individual pigments start to kind of fade together into what looks like a solid slab of ink. I'm worried that down the road I'm going to have that look in the front of my head (where I'm getting the treatment) while the sides and the back continue to look natural...
I have SMP (Scalp Pigmentation) done at the area where I have my hair transplanted. But it fading rapidly, in 3 months almost all gone. I have read its because my immune system that pushed the ink out. My question is how can I stop this from happening? Is it wise to keep getting a touch up every 4-5 months if my body just wont take the ink pernamently?
Is it true that wet shaving of head with razor increase fading of SMP? The doctor told me that normally touch-ups might be needed after 3-5 years, but fading would be faster if you're going to wet shave with razor everyday. He said in that case 1.5-2 years maximum is expected because as far as I understood shaving with razor actually exfoliate layer of skin, and thus catalyze it to regenerate faster so pigments fade quicker. If so, then how can one get as close shave after SMP without razor?
