Exactly how does SMP fade?

Something that I'm worrying about is getting the "solid ink" look in the future. I've seen a lot of pictures of people who had had the treatment and noticed that after a while the individual pigments start to kind of fade together into what looks like a solid slab of ink. I'm worried that down the road I'm going to have that look in the front of my head (where I'm getting the treatment) while the sides and the back continue to look natural...

Scalp Micropigmentation SMP is basically a light tattoo that fades like all tattoos.  Some people seem to hold on to the pigment much better or longer.  Sun exposure and skin type can affect how it looks over the years.  Some patients return to have  a touch up to make it look darker.  Over time the exact precise "dots" will spread and dissipate to some degree.  How much it spreads has more to do with the technique and pigments used.  There is nothing you can do to completely stop this no matter how good the technique.

SMP fades with sun explosure and with time, when it is put in too deep, the pigment moves laterally to form a blob rather than a dot
