Would Retin-A fade my scalp micropigmentation?

Recently had SMP done and was wondering if using Retin-A on my face would accidentally fade my Scalp micropigmentation even if I don’t apply it to that area?

Scalp micropigmentation is considered a permanent treatment. The treatment can last for up to 6 years or more depending on how the procedure was performed and how it's taken care of in the following years. There isn't any solid evidence that applying topical tretinoin triggers hair shedding. However, hair loss is a potential side effect of taking oral tretinoin. Hair loss (including eyelashes and eyebrows) can happen when you take too much vitamin A especially if it's a supplement or medication.

Hello and thank you for your question. There isn't any evidence that I know of that suggests applying Retin A could trigger shedding. I have heard cases where taking too much vitamin A can cause hair loss. I think its best to consult your doctor who knows your case for advice. Good luck.
