Hello, I recommend having your surgeons office assist you in cleaning off the residue from your rhinoplasty dressing. If you are unable to get into your surgeons office, I recommend using rubbing alcohol or coconut oil, assuming you aren't allergic to either. Gently apply either, let it sit for a moment, then use a cotton ball or wash cloth to gently wipe away the residue. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Dr. Lane Smith Las Vegas, NV
Great question! There are adhesive removers than can be used to remove this, your surgeon should be able to clean it up for you. If you can't get in to see him/her, then over time while washing your face with soap and water, the residue will come off. I would not rub or scrub your nose as you do not want to disrupt any work that has been done. Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsaiBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question. You should schedule an appointment with your Plastic Surgeon. They will most likely have an adhesive remover to help you get rid of the tape so you do not have to scrub. Good luck.

Thanks for your question. Some of the surgical adhesives and tapes we use can be very, very adherent! I'd go see your plastic surgeon. They likely have adhesive remover wipes and can help you, but you want their blessing before your push too hard. Best wishes

Hello,Thank you for your question. Trauma to the nose causes enlargement of the nasal bone and makes it looks wider. After nasal and septal fracture, the nose loses its support and if you apply a pressure on the tip it can easily touch the upper lips. In this case, where there is no nasal su...
