Painful area on one side of nose at 7 months post op - can this be a complication caused by my rhinoplasty? (photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. At seven months it can be normal to still feel pain with palpation. But only very minor pain. I recommend that you maintain close follow up with your surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

As far as I can understand from your question Yes, it may be a complication, but for a more accurate evaluation, it would be better to be examined by your surgeon immediately.

I don’t see any clear evidence of postoperative complications.
Different sensations should be expected after having surgery.
A lot of this is dependent on exactly what was done during the procedure.
I suggest you follow up with your provider.
Your post reminds me of an old joke.
A patient walks into the doctors office and says “it hurts when I press here”.
The doctor response “don’t press there”.
I think if there was anything serious going on, you would know by now.
Getting used to the changes after surgery can take some time.
Eventually almost everybody gets accustomed to the changes.
If things were getting worse, then we would be concerned that there is a problem.
When things are getting better, they speak for themselves.
