Moving cartilage causing extreme discomfort. Is this normal or not?

I feel really restricted with my face movement, I’m afraid to chew in certain ways or even to kiss. I need to fix my teeth but last time I went my dentist was afraid cause I got reflection movement of discomfort. We had to cancel it. It feels like i can take my bone out joint, there is no sound when this happens, it doesn’t hurt but it is extremely uncomfortable. I asked my surgeon and he said this is normal. Please tell me if this is normal or not. I’m 7 months post op.

And sometimes they feel cartilage rubbing against bone. Our experience, the most common cause of a click maybe a columella strut graft rubbing against a piece of bone. We have had excellent success shortening a columella strut graft, if it clicks, in the office with local anesthetic, using an approach through the inside of the upper lip. I hope this helps!
