What can I do about blackheads and acne on the nose post rhinoplasty?

After getting my cast off I noticed my nose has been very oily and there are a lot of black heads and small pimples on my nose, how should i go about safely treating this?

I recommend that my patients use both. I recommend that they use hydrogen peroxide along the incision lines to help clean up dried blood gently and I have them use a saline spray to help keep the dried mucus and dry blood from building up in the nose. Talk to your surgeon about what specific ...

Hi mntgirl123, It is difficult to tell exactly as you are still very early in the recovery process and much of this could be due to asymmetric swelling which is very common.  It is fairly unlikely that a spreader graft would shift, but there are several other possibilities if this...

By viewing your photos, you appear to have a large amount of swelling.  It takes a full year to allow all swellling to subside.  Be patient and allow it to heal!

The nasal bonees heal by forming a callous. This will often give the patient a slight fullness to the bridge of the nose. Generally this will resolve on its own, but may benefit from a steroid injection if it persists. Be patient, noses will change alot over the first year as the healing process...

Yes it should be safe. I would advise following the instructions for the nasal spray and I wouldn't recommend using it continuously for more than a week.
