Injured bridge 18 months after rhinoplasty - should I be worried about possible damage to results? (photo)

Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. I'm sorry to hear about your recent injury. At the time of posting, only 1 week since injury, it's too soon to tell the long term effects. By now (about 6 months later), you should definitely have a better idea if there was just temporary swelling or more long-term injury to the bridge of your nose! I hope everything resolved without any permanent deformity- otherwise, if there is still residual deformity and you would like that fixed, you might need a revision rhinoplasty.

Revision rhinoplasty truly a surgery of millimeters- they are the most technically challenging procedures in all of plastic surgery! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- if you do need a revision, I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in revision rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading revision rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually).

If there is residual deformity that you would like addressed, I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. The arrow is pointing to the thinnest skin on the nose, and sometimes there can be swelling to the lining of the bone that can cause the appearance of a firm bump that will ultimately resolve with time. If it doesn't go away, this would be easy to camouflage permanently with microdroplet Silikon 1000 nasal injections. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

The photograph demonstrate a great looking nose both before and after your injury. Probably best to leave well enough alone, and let the swelling subside.
