I had a revision rhinoplasty a decade ago which included extensive grafting from my septum to rebuild my nose. Large spreader grafts were sown in both sides, a columella strut graft and tip grafts were added too. 2 weeks ago someone bumped into my nose quite hard. It hurt, a numb sensation. My nose did not bleed and no significant external swelling was apparent. My breathing seemed off though and my nose skin looked a little sore. How likely is damage and what steps to take next?
Im currently 6 months post op. I hit my nose hard two times after the procedure. And I have seen that the tip of my nose is elongated and more down than it was when I was 4 months post op. Can I make the tip shorter and more elevated in a revision rhinoplasty? Why does my tip elongated so much?
8 months post revision rhinoplasty. At 3 weeks I was punched in the face. What can I do to improve the look of my nose? Ive got a front profile that looks deformed, but I dont want to further slope my nose with more surgery. Is it possible to maintain what I have now while improving the front profile? Nose looks wide and far from the from and its obvious that Ive had work done. What are my next options? Straightforward answers only no sugarcoating please.
A bump has appeared on the bridge of my nose 8 months after my surgery. I got my nose done 8 months ago. 3 months after I had gotten it done I was hit in the right side of my bridge with a wooden block toy. It left a bruise and a bump which went away by itself after 2 weeks. Now 8 months in, about 2 weeks ago couple hours after waking up I noticed a bump had appeared on the exact same spot that I was hit on with the wooden block toy. The bump itself is hard and when pressed on it doesnt squish down, the bump has started growing and expanding in length. What do I do
Hi, I play football and I'm getting a functional septorhinoplasty with alar batten grafts and tip graft. I was wondering what would happen if after everything's healed, a year or so down the line, I got hit with an elbow or something. Would I be able to fix the septum again? And would the cartilage added shift? If so could it be repositioned or removed?
I had rhinoplasty 3 years ago, I have thick skin so it took a while for the swelling to go down..I hit my nose w a surfboard and it bled about 7months ago, the doctor didnt X-ray he just said its not broken?? Since then this hard lump has grown on the tip, my whole nose tip is losing shape and looks like its getting bigger, its not stopping. What is going on, do I need another nose job or is there something I can do for time being? Thank you
I had a septo rhino plasty 12 years ago. Was really happy with the results. Unfortuately my 2 year old son head butted me by accident 6 weeks ago. No blood or black eyes. Only hurt at the time not after. I now have a bump on the left of my nose, and a long dent down the middle of my nose. It looks fine sideways on. Could this still resolve it self and what treatment do i need to make this better?
Got hit in the face with a tennis ball after 5 years post open rhinoplasty. I am five years post op open rhinoplasty. Last night I got hit in the face with a tennis ball and my nose looked and felt swollen. Its now the next morning and it still hurts a little and still looks very swollen. Should I be concerned even after 5 years?
My dog hit my nose after septoplasty/ and rhino on my third week of healing. I bleed immediately for 10 mins and went to emergency. I was told there was no fracture or break but my nose now has a big lump underneath and has a bump exactly where I got it removed. It is no longer smooth but lumpy and looks awful even under the skin. Will I need another surgery? My surgeon told me it was fine but it looks completely different.
