Seven years post-primary rhinoplasty for dorsal hump reduction left me with an over-rotated piggy tip. A revision using rib cartilage (harvested via 8 cm incision by a thoracic surgeon) provided minimal radix augmentation and no tip improvement. Key questions: Does large incision/non-plastic surgeon suggest technical issues? Can another revision de-rotate the tip and restore a natural profile? Are grafts/tissue expansion viable for reconstruction despite limited skin? Thank you.
7 months ago I had a primary rhinoplasty. I had previous a dorsal hump, tension tip nose. I did not want a sloped upturned nose, but alas, it was my outcome. I am looking to restore my triangular/pyramid shaped nose from the front, what can be done to do so? I know it has to do with the infratip lobule. I currently have an SEG placed in my tip as well. Looking to derotate too.
I need to do an overdone rhinoplasty. I am male and I feel having no dorsal hump took my masculine look. Is it possible to make a small natural looking bump when revising. Also my cartilage grew after twenty years and I might need to raise the tip. I just don't want to remove anything from the nose anymore. Is it possible to just add cartilage and raise the tip?
Hi I had a septoplasty/rhinoplasty done where I asked the doctor to shave the sides of my bridge and fix my tip as I wasnt happy with the previous rhinoplasty I had several years ago. I now have 2 pinhole indentations on the side of my nose and what looks to be a dorsal hump that I never had before. Doctor says I need to be patient but the pinholes are painful to the touch and my nose looks worse then how I started . Can anyone tell me what these indents are and why I have a new hump? TIA
I got a rhinoplasty a year ago to fix my breathing issues (turninate infraction), to fix a scar on my columella from an accident previously, and then finally to removal my dorsal hump. I wanted the front of my nose to stay the same. Well somehow my nose ended up developing possibly scar tissue up on the bridge, and my nose tip has become harder/wider. Leaving my side profile lumpy. Is this something a steroid injection would fix or would I need a revision? Thank you.
I am 8 months post op from rhinoplasty and I hate my nose. I had a dorsal hump that I wanted removed. My nose after the surgery is small, flat and shorter than before with no projection. I did not know removing the bump would cause all this. I think the bump was shaved down too much causing a scooped profile when I wanted a straight profile. My tip has also been rotated and looks very un-natural, I had a droopy tip before. Is it possible to add cartilage and rotate the tip to my old nose?
Had revision the graft looks really good. Want to know if i can have another graft on top of this one. Its a doraum rib graft and i want another thinner layered graft on top of this one to get a pyramid shape bridge. I also would like it to be curvy to get more 3 dimensiomal prominence In between dyebrows area. Just a small and thin graft will be a game changer for my face im sure of it. If possible.
In my primary rhinoplasty the doctor shortened my nose, shaved my bridge and narrowed it. My nose looks curved even though I wanted a straight nose which I already had, only a few minor things needed to be fixed from an accident. Is is possible to rebuild the bridge and widen the bone that was narrowed and restore my dorsal hump (if possible)?
I had a primary rhinoplasty done October 2021 to reduce a very prominent dorsal hump. My surgeon assured me he had removed the hump and given me a nice slope. Over a year post op, I was unhappy with how my nose still had a hump so I underwent a closed revision to further reduce the hump with the same surgeon. Now a year post revision, the hump is much smaller but still there. When I press firmly on it or apply tape it seems to flatten is this still swelling or will I need a third surgery?
I had a primary rhinoplasty where I had a dorsal hump and droopy tip, my surgeon fixed that but left my nose looking too long and pointy, is there a way to fix that? Also when I smile you can see my nostrils and I feel like it looks like a pig nose as well.
