Its been a depressing journey trying to get the nose Ive always wanted. I started with primary and 4 years later had collapsed the nostrils i couldnt breath well because the technique used was weak. I ended up getting a revision I can fully breath after that however one side of my nose tip was overprotected which left me looking a bit Witchy, the nose bridge also seemed wider but Im unsure what part he built. 2 years later I was always depressed about the side and quarter view because it was so pointy and I looked like dobby so the dr did a revision small procedure touch up where he de projected the tip but this time he had cut my nostrils and this is what Im upset about. I dont know what has happened and how it can be fixed so please help. My nostril flare I had gave me that feminine look to my face and was something I did love about my nose but now its just stitched down and I dont have that cartilage type curve flare anymore so now it kinda makes my nose look wide and dominant front on I feel masculine and quarter view photos doesnt have that nice curve it looks more masculine and I am really upset about it, how can I get this back? the other thing is the bridge I feel like its to fat. My next biggest issue is my lips , my philtrum seems 2 of dropped and is flat like its so ugly and manly. If I get a lip lift is there a way to pull the nostril to flare more and lift the lip? photos attached when I hold my lip and nostrils down n out.
Had rhinoplasty 3 months ago. I know I need to wait a whole year to see final results but my surgeon said my overall shape will remain which makes me think that I will end up with an over projected tip. I had a tension nose with a plunging tip and now I see a much smaller nose thats overprotected. If in a year its still too overprotected will it be an easy fix? I already paid a lot of money for this. Im worried. Also, from your expertise, is there potential for deprojecting still?
Can i remove the grafts placed to deproject and derotate the tip? Costal cartilage graft was removed and shaped with oblique split method. A septal extension graft 1.5 cm wide and 3 cm long was placed on the caudal end of the septum. Bilateral cephalic trimming was performed. A bilateral 2mm lateral crus steal was madeand a dome triangle was created with cephalic dome sutures. The dome equalizing suture was fixed onthe septal extension graft and Columellar Strut was fixed to septal extension
I had a rhinoplasty almost a year ago mainly to deproject a very long and bulbous nose. Cast off looked amazing, natural, nose was shortened not too upturned which I was happy about for few months. Then the tip slowly started to droop and become rounder and rounder till I dont like it at all. Left profile looks still good, but right is awful and looks droopy from the front especially while smiling. My surgeon only suggest filler, but I would like a more permanent solution.
After consulting with over 15 surgeons, I have gotten mixed information. For my case, I would like to de project, lengthen and de rotate. While some of the surgeons suggest waiting at least 1 year, I also have several saying thats its better to revise these issues between 8-10 months post op because these issues do not get better with time and the skin with contract etc. can I pls get more input on this topic of timeline? Its hard to know how to make the best decision if I should wait or not.
I had a revision rhinoplasty 2.5 years ago. My nose is bulbous, wide and flattens out when I smile big giving my nose a very wide appearance. I had a long, skinny nose prior to revision rhinoplasty. My questions are: 1) Can the wide look be due to tip swelling or has it been over deprojected? 2) If it can be due to over deprojection, what are my options in fixing the width of my nose? Will I have to get another revision?
I had surgery just over six months ago on my nose, and I love the shape of the nose and the front. The only thing I don't love is the amount that the nose tip protrudes from my face from the side. Is it possible to deproject the nose without changing how the nose looks from the front or the shape of the tip?
I have had one surgery and asked for a very natural tip angle and I now have a high tip (for me) I know it's not the worst but it's not what I had in mind. I also didn't want my nose to be more projected. My nose feels too ' equilateral triangle-ish' , is it possible in thick skin to have my bridge lowered a tad , bring the tip down a bit and brought a little closer to my face. I'm not expecting a small barbie nose but just minor tweaks. In your profession opinion do you think its worth doing even?
I had my primary rhinoplasty to reduce a dorsal hump and fix my deviated septum, my surgeon did tip refinements to fix my bulbous tip. I was super self conscious about my side profile before and now I am even more because my nose looks longer in my opinion. I'm still early on in my recovery process but I feel so devastated with my results, I don't think it's that much swelling that is making my nose so long, I need advice please.
I had a primary rhinoplasty where I had a dorsal hump and droopy tip, my surgeon fixed that but left my nose looking too long and pointy, is there a way to fix that? Also when I smile you can see my nostrils and I feel like it looks like a pig nose as well.
