Hi, I had a primary rhinoplasty in mid August 2023, so am now 9.5 months post op. When my cast came off I looked monstrous, extremely swollen and you could see up both nostrils completely. There has been minor improvement but I am still so very unhappy with my nose. From my perspective, my nostrils are notched, retracted, and my columella is hanging too low. I have been told I have thick skin and am a very slow healer. My question is,is there a chance that a revision surgery could help? Thanks!
I'm 9 months post op revision and hate my nose. It's too small for my face. Too short/upturned and bridge is too low. Is it possible to get a revision to De-rotate my nose, to make it look longer, without adding more cartilage to the tip? I had healing issues last surgery and I don't think my nose can handle a complete reconstruction. Thank you
I had a revision rhinoplasty 9.5 months ago. Today I fell asleep and woke up sleeping on my face such that my nose could have been bent by the sleeping position. Could this ruin my result or rebend my nose? I had rib cartilage grafts placed. My main reason for rhinoplasty was straightening the nose.
Hello. I had revision rhinoplasty for the 3rd time 9 months ago with cartilage graft from my ribs . I was very careful during this time and nothing happened to my nose. But unfortunately the other day at the store I tried to get a pair of shoes from upper shelf and two of the boxes containing shoes fell on my face and nose. I was so shocked that I don't even remember how severe it touched my face. However, I didn't feel any pain, or bleeding or swelling or change. Have I ruined my nose again?
I am 9 months post op and since the beginning felt a large indentation on my bridge on right side (left side in photo) however, now it is noticeable in photos. Can this be fixed without having another revision? Will it only get more noticeable with time? It's so annoying as I feel like they mess something up every time and I'll be 95 and living on the street broke by the time I have a normal looking nose again. Never should have gotten a primary rhinoplasty
Its been nearly 9 months after my revision rhinoplasty and my nostrils and tip look strange, like straight lines instead of a natural curve, and my nose tip looks extremely unnatural looking. Why does it look like this and will it go away? I thought most of the swelling is gone, so is this what my results look like?
Rhinoplasties - 2015, 2017, 2018, Feb 2022. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty gave me desired definition in tip, which I wanted to retain permanently with 2022 surgery. Despite using scalp fascia, it didn't work. Tip depressed after steroid injections, so fat injected. Since then filler, 5FU, steroid injections. Surgeon said skin has not draped properly over internal structure. Nose is always red and still bulges on sides. Can anything be done to fix this? At least the skin redness? Or do no more?
I know it is an odd question but I had my second revision 9 months ago with rib cartilage. Yesterday my bf bit my nose jokingly and it hurt a tiny bit. I am extremely worried that its done damage to the cartilage. Is it possible to do any damage/reshape the cartilage that way? There was no bleeding and the pain didnt last.
I am 9 months post op and Ive noticed my tip has dropped significantly and I feel like the bottom of my nose is rounded and bulbous which was not my initial result. I am happy with the straightness of my bridge and did not ask for an upturned tip however feel that the tip is starting to look droopy and elongate my nose. Could this be swelling? Is this something that would need to be addressed with revision surgery?
