Over-rotated nose tip, 9 months post-op rhinoplasty - Do I need a revision? (photos)

thank you for posting your pictures and your question. By this time, it is likely that your tip remains in a similiar position. I agree with you, that a less rotated nasal tip would look better. Your dorsum looks beautiful, and is very nicely defined. Your result would match much better, if the nasal tip would be less rotated. This will most likely require a a revision rhinoplasty. Discuss your concerns with your rhinoplasty surgeon, and see what she/him have to say, before reaching out to a colleague.

While I agree that much of your swelling has likely decreased, you’re still considered to be in the recovery phase for at least one full year following your rhinoplasty procedure. After this healing phase, the final results will be more visible and easier to assess.
If you are still unsatisfied with the shape of your nose one-year post-op, a revision rhinoplasty can be performed to lower the tip to an alignment that you feel best complements your other facial features. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can evaluate your surgical history and make recommendations to help you achieve your cosmetic goals.

Your photos appear to show an obtuse nose-lip angle which may indeed be over-rotated compared to preop. In our experience, de-rotating someone's nasal tip with septal extension grafting is somewhat unpredictable, and is a procedure we do not offer. If you can live with what you have, I say you have a "cute, feminine nose." A less invasive option may be to add filler to your upper bridge to decrease the "slope". Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
