A few years ago, an ENT did my rhinoplasty while he corrected my deviated septum and improved my breathing, I unfortunately did not like the aesthetic results. Im 8 months post op from a revision from another doctor, it looks great but within a few months, I started snoring again and have confirmation my septum is deviated as it was before. How could this happen? I feel my doctor is responsible for correcting it.
8 months ago i had an open rhinoplasty to get rid of the bridge hump and change the tip. I was told i was going to have a feminine curved in bridge yet my bridge is now humped again. I asked the surgery place what happened and they gave me different stats of cartilage regrowth to what was said in the consult. If i have the money one day, would the same thing happen after a revision? Also the left side of the tip is lopsided, is this still swelling? I hate my nose now :(
I had an open rhinoplasty 8 months ago. I now have a bump on my bridge ( which I am not sure I had before? See photos). The doctor did not do a push down but shaved some of the bone and added diced cartilage on the bridge. Why to I have this bump on my nose? Could it be the diced cartilage or is it my bone? My surgeon says that the bump was here before ( that it is not a callus nor swelling). What would be the best approach to fix this ? My surgeon suggests rasping. Thanks a lot
Hi, I had primary rhinoplasty done 8 months ago. Although I did not want, yet my surgeon reduced my alar base width and chopped my sills. Also, she made my tip extremely pointy. I want to expand my alar base width. Please someone help with the possible solutions. I have no solutions left and I am in deep depression since 8 months.
Hi RealSelf Community, 8 months ago I underwent ablation of the inferior turbinate, septoplasty, and repair for nasal stenosis. I'm concerned about the persistent swelling in my nose. My nose looks wider than before, which my surgeon initially assured me would not be a result of the procedures. I'm including pre and post op pictures to give a better idea of the changes. Should swelling last this long? Any way to reduce swelling? The nasal valve collapse has not done anything, what to do?
I had a tip revision to round it out as my cartilage started to poke through due to thin skin so cartilage was taken from the back of my ear and wrapped round the tip. Happy with the result but my nose tip gets so cold so quickly and turns whiteish/red/purple and almost circular. It's been 8 months, I tried 1 round of lumecca IPL a few months ago but worried that's done the opposite? Any advice? Unsure what it is or what to do as I thought it may have been better by now.
Hi all, I underwent to revision rhinoplasty 8 months ago. I'm very unsatisfied and my nose looks worse than before. Am i a botched case?? All i wanted from this surgery was to have a smaller tip and nostrils, and to fix my crooked nose. Now only the tip is smaller, but the nose is deviated in the same direction as before, the bridge is soo wide and nostrils are horrible. This was my second surgery to my nose. My doctor wants to fix itt locally, but i dont think it can be done much
Hi, I had rhinoplasty about 7.5 months ago. I had no complications and have been healing well. However, my only concern is that I have uneven swelling which causes my nostrils to look extremely uneven. The issue is I have a huge bump from edema in my nose and it hurts. Can you please advise me if thats normal for 7.5 months? Should I be concerned?
Hello, I've been concerned about my swelling. I had my first rhinoplasty at 15 back in 2013. Result was good however, over the years I developed scar tissue which made the tip round and bulbous. I got a revision in 2022 and am now 8 months post-op. I LOVE my side profiles and the way my tip looks from the side only. I feel it's leaning to the left and now scared its scarring again. My Dr says its swelling but I'm not confident that it is. Curious to see what others think...
