Ice cold tip and redness 8 months after tip revision (Photo)

Question

I had a tip revision to round it out as my cartilage started to poke through due to thin skin so cartilage was taken from the back of my ear and wrapped round the tip. Happy with the result but my nose tip gets so cold so quickly and turns whiteish/red/purple and almost circular. It's been 8 months, I tried 1 round of lumecca IPL a few months ago but worried that's done the opposite? Any advice? Unsure what it is or what to do as I thought it may have been better by now.

Hello! I'm not sure exactly what this is but it sounds to me like you have ischemia of your nasal tip, especially if you had thin skin before and had a revision to it, suggesting that the skin may have compromised blood flow. Lasers and LED can definitely help. If it is due to ischemia, unfortunately it's just a matter of waiting it out until your nose figures itself out and hopefully gets better blood supply to the tip. It is possible it will never be normal again but you're lucky that at least you didn't get skin compromise!
