I am a 21 yo Asian male; 5 11; 155 lbs. Negative phenylephrine test and external approach on right lid. During op, surgeon advanced levator maximally when lift increase was initially absent. Post-op outcomes: (1) More prominent lid platform; (2) Minimal lift; (3) Contour change. Was the op unsuccessful and outcomes avoidable? Is revision warranted? Which type? Im nervous for a 2nd op, yet I want to manage this due to its psychosocial impact. Is my goal of lid symmetry unrealistic? Thoughts?
Hello! Thank you in advance for the comments/advice! I am a 24 year old male and am insecure about my eyes. My concern specifically is that my eyes seem to be lazy/ droopy . One eyelid droops more than the other especially when I am tired.I also seem to have excess upper eyelid skin. Overall Id like to open my eyes and make them look more symmetrical. Would ptosis surgery (or other procedure) address my concern ? Thanks!!!!
22F, my left eyelid is different than the right one since I can remember. My question is what the cause could be is it fat related, ptosis, eyebrow position etc. ? ( I feel like my left crease starts of higher and the eyebrow fat just kind of lies on top of my eyeball )
21M 6'0 220 lbs Italian/Irish/Austrian/Polish Looking to improve eye appearance. RealSelf Surgeon diagnosed me with ptosis, lateral canthal dystopia, and compensatory eyebrow elevation. He suggested Anterior Levator Resection Ptosis with Canthoplasty instead of Mullerectomy. What would be the ideal surgery to get to make my eyes more attractive? Considering almond eye surgery and reducing distance between eyebrows and opening of eyes.
I am wanting to go ahead with a third surgery as I'm desperate to fix this ptosis. However, my surgeon is warning me that a third surgery may not be advised. He says the tissues are much harder to perform surgery on safely and the chances of it being a success are reduced rapidly. I wasn't aware that this surgery couldn't be repeated a number of times, I'm now extremely worried there's a chance I'll never be able to get this fixed, is there any hope? (Healthy 24yr, male)
Hello. I am a female 18. I wanted to ask if this seems like a case of ptosis? And what can I do from here? I wear eye glasses and I also have to raise my eyebrows to be able to see. I have a mean tired look when my face is rested. Thank you.
Hello, im a 24 year old male and i have lived with the eye area as shown above for as long as I've known. I do not know if the cause of my eye areas looks are simply due to overreaching eye lids or if my orbitals are set too far ahead their sockets. I would appreciate it if could get some advice on this matter, thank you!
Born with congenital ptosis and jaw winking syndrome in my left eye. Nine years ago I had a ptosis repair. The surgery was not done well & left me with a large scar & still droopy. A year ago I went in to repair this the surgeon told me all I would need was ONLY a blepharoplasty to remove the scar. I am now even more asymmetrical than before. Im worried nothing can be done because the amount of puffiness, scar tissue, & lack of skin left(Im 22) but Im desperate. I cant live with this.
