Hi, I've had ptosis since birth apparently my eyelid didnt develop correctly. Now that I'm 21 I want to get corrective surgery but I've seen posts where it doesnt work or last? How likely is this?

Answer: You have ptosis and no upper eyelid crease.
Thank you for sharing your questions and posting your photo. It appears that you have mild ptosis. This can be corrected by an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. Make an appointment for detailed evaluation and treatment.
Good luck.
The asymmetry of eyebrows, left being slightly elevated, comes from your ptosis, as a compensatory mechanisam, to open your ptotic eye. Once ptosis surgery is completed, that effect on the brow will deminish and you will, very likely, end up with more or less symmetric brows. Only at that time...
You have some brow ptosis on one side over the other. This is not generally a concern since it is these small asymmetries are generally not cosmetically concerning. However if you would like it fixed, a unilateral brow lift can correct it. It can be done under local in the office setting.
