I've seen that tips can be lifted with injections and/or threads, is there a chance something of this nature would work for a hanging columella that is more promenent on one side? Can threads be injected into the columella to lift it? Or altenatively is there a way it could perhaps be trimmed without a complete surgery? Many thanks.
Hi, I had a rhinoplasty in Aug 2023 and I'm very unhappy with the result. I apparently have very high nostrils, a hanging columella, polybeak deformity, and saddle nose. The thing that upsets me the most is the pig like appearance of the nose. Could non-surgical fillers restore my nose to a fairly normal appearance? Thanks in advance.
I had rhinoplasty about 6 months ago in Korea. The doctor used donated dermis for my bridge and septal + ear cartilage for my tip. Long story short: I want my columella to hang more and get a nice infratip. So that my nose looks more natural. My doctor said he could do that with dermis filler. But I couldn't find anything about dermis filler online. Another doctor told me that an operation would be necessary to create a hanging columella. I need more advice. Please help me!
here's my natural nose, the curvature of it is more noticeable when i smile, especially looking from side profile, and from the front you see my columella hanging. I guess i have a bottom heavy nose. What are some options to improve or completely get rid of my hanging columella and have a less rounded nose? Would a thread lift work? I'd rather avoid a rhinoplasty as my partner is against it. But I'm open to smaller procedures requiring local anesthesia. Update: pictures added
I had rhinoplasty 3 months ago to reduce the dorsal hump. I didnt want a scooped nose, and we agreed to leave my tip alone as I still wanted to look like me, just with a subtle change; it was only my bump I disliked. I feel my nose has been over reduced - thinner, scooped, and pointy. I am terrified of surgical revision as if it turned out worse - I dont know how Id cope. I can live with the hanging columella, but would filler be an option to build up the bridge creating astraighter profile
I've had 2 rhinoplasties in the past, would like to avoid another one. Recoveries were brutal for, I would like not to go through that again but my self-esteem has dropped even lower since I always get asked if I've had a nose job, I can't even ignore it. I believe I have a hanging columella, nostrils are asymmetrical and are evidently two holes on my face unlike other nose jobs I have seen that are gentle and subtle, you cant see the nostrils. I think there's retraction of the left nostril too.
I realize it is difficult to tell from a photo but I'm wondering if it possible for my hanging collumella to be corrected with a simple procedure under local anesthesia. I dislike the way it appears protruded when I smile. I try to avoid general at all costs due to a possible malignant hyperthermia genetic predisposition.
I want to lift my hanging columella without having to undergo an invasive surgery. When I push my finger upwards under the columella I can easily fix the problem as my nostrils can not be seen anymore. I've heard about non surgical procedures for crooked noses, or bumps but nothing for hanging columellas, so my question is is it possible to lift a hanging collumella with filler? I'd like to know before I book my consultation and be let down.
