Had aggressive microneedling done in May 2021 with 3mm needle (unbeknown to me as I was in trusted hands of a dermatologist who had carried out two previous treatments on me which were fine). I now have tram marks/micro holes all over my face. New dermatologist prescribed tretinoin as it could help remodel scars/improve texture and also I am too scared of having other procedures on face. Will the tretinoin help improve the scars? If not, whats the mildest/least risk procedure? Thanks
Microneedling on a 1 year old atrophic scar. Morning everyone 1 year ago i was on a ladder, fell, and the ladder hit my forehead. I ended up in emergency with some glue on it. Today my scar looks way better but still looks a little depressed with a thin white line in its middle. I have been performing microneedling treatments at home, every 6 weeks or more. I bet i have done 3 or 4 treatments till now, on it, since i was waiting a full year to finally heal. My question is, can i get rid of the depression using a 2mm needle depth?. Thanks
I'm wondering how frequently I can microneedle. I heard that for longer needle lengths, I should wait for longer between the sessions, but I'm wondering if I can also use shorter needles in between. For example, if I schedule for microneedling with 1.5mm 4 weeks apart, can I still use 0.25mm or 0.5mm weekly while waiting for the next session? Thank you.
My microneedling provider, who seems knowledgeable and competent, will only use .25mm under my eyes. While I appreciate her caution, I also want results for lines under my eyes and have read elsewhere that longer needles can be used. I already use tretinoin but it's not keeping up with the under-eye wrinkles. Thank you for your input.
Licensed medical aesthetician and have been microneedling for years, Ive worked with mostly 12 needle tips and recently ordered 36 needle tips thinking it was the amount of tips not needles I now have these tips and would like to utilize them correctly. Is the amount of passes over each area less? Id like to know how best I can utilize these, do they treat certain skin concerns better than a 12 needle tip would? Any info based on other needle tips options available such as 9and 42 needle tips.
I was told by my provider to not use anything on my skin . She stated that if I applied anything on my skin it would most likely clog my pores. She notified me my skin would heal on its own . After reading that most doctors on this website do recommend some type of after care treatment , I'm starting to question my providers knowledge.
On darker skin what number should the microneedle be on from the 1st -3rd session ex: .075mm etc. To start and end on? Also what would be the wait time for session 2? Because I no going in to soon or graduating to soon for deeper microneedle will cause breakouts/hyperpigmentation, help!
Thanks to a monster known as early menopause, Ive rapidly aged in just a few short years. Im feeling 10-15 years older than my actual age and want to know, if I can use this, where and how often? How soon for results? Should I get a shorter needle? I found his on a whim and it was the only size available. Thanks
Hi. I've had oily skin type since my puberty that I have lots of pores on my face nowdays. But I have no money as I'm a student so my choice is just microneedling 1. How long should I adjust the needle size for my pores?(When I used 0.8mm, there happened some red spot, blood.) 2. How long should it take?(Detailed methods, plz.) 3. I have torn scar below my eye. In this case, I wanna ask the same question(No. 2, 3) 4. Can the pores filled even if there're black heads in it by MTS?
Could it even be considered micro needling? A head with only one needle (Nouveau Contour) was used. I felt it singularly pricking my skin on the red hyper pigmented spots and ice pick scars. After, my face was not red/sensitive. She didn't go over my whole face in passes or circular motion, only treated the problem areas. But isn't micro needling the whole face, with multiple passes? Is there a name for this type of treatment?
