Now I have nerve damage for 5 months. I had Kybella 5 months ago, immediately after I was numb and my mouth started dropping and I was drooling then I lost all sensation in my lower face, my entire face started to droop, the injector hit a nerve I have never healed.
After the burning and bullfrogging, I am left with something more horrifying: my entire lower jaw feels like it is being pulled on. Smiling now gives me an overbite because the lower half of my mouth is having difficulty meeting up with the upper half. When I speak, one of my lips is drooping. Please tell me this is temporary. Note: The pain was excruciating, and I was sobbing throughout. Could the Dr. have misfired because the crying was making me move too much?
Hi I had Kybella injected yesterday and immediately after the injection I felt a tense pull under my left and right side of my chin and the left side tendon in my neck was so tense that I could not smile on my left side. It got better after a couple hours but my smile on my left hand side is very lifted and when I talk with expression my mouth is crooked and I feel tension down my left side of neck pronouncing some words. How long will this last and will taking inflammatory medication help?
I had five viles of Kybella injected She did work at that on my jowel area. But Im experiencing some swelling still but have very little movement in my bottom lip usually when I smile my bottom teeth show and now no matter how hard I try they do not I am also experiencing a hard time pronouncing certain words .
I had Kybella injected under my chin by a licensed nurse. I noticed on the right side my muscle near my mouth feels weak and my smile is very off. It's only been day 1 and the nurse told me this can be normal. Because it's not having the same effect on the left side of my face. when I smile the tendon or muscle on the ride side of my neck seems like it bulges out. It almost feels like when you go to the dentist and they hit your nerve with lidocain and you can't feel that side of your face.
I had my 1st kybella treatment today for the jowl area. I was nervous because I know this area can result in nerve damage but my provider said they've seen great success with treatments to jowls. Because it's off label, I'm finding it difficult to find reviews/results. For those drs who have confidently used Kybella in the jowls, what results can I expect? I had 5 injections on each side. I'm hoping to reestablish a stronger jaw line. I plan to have my small double chin treated as well. Age 45
I have an excess of tissue/fat on the pad of my chin. I'm a thin person, and it's a genetic trait in my family. I'm trying to avoid going under the knife, so I was wondering if Kybella could be a solution to this? Also, how common is nerve damage caused by Kybella?
