Hello, Im a 41 year old male who had Gynecomastia surgery 4 months ago. I have an upcoming visit with my surgeon and honestly, I dont know what to ask other than Im a little disappointed. I had full gland removal and liposuction and as per doctors orders, work out and losing weight. I expect there to be some improvement but Im also coming to terms with the fact that this is my 95% outcome. Looking for guidance from the experts as my surgeon last time mentioned there will always be craters and my nipple/skin fold is from stretched skin. Should I consider a revision with my surgeon? Any specific questions I should ask? Also, what is the weird chord running down? I have it on both sides and my surgeon says hes never seen them. They appeared after surgery.
Hello all, I had gynecomastia surgery 4 months ago and I had love handles liposuction Now my left side nipple has a crease and I am panicking that it may be crater deformity, and one of my love handle feels uneven. Your help will be highly appreciated regarding treatment options I have.
Hello doctors i am 22 years old and i had a male mastopexy and gynecomastia removal 4 months ago. I enjoy the contour of my chest but i hate how horrible my scars look. I am so depressed and i feel really self conscious. Worst then before i had the surgery. Is there any way to fix this? My PS said they were hypertrophic but his nurse said they were keloids. I am so sad i feel like crying, i cant believe im 22 and my chest will look like this forever. How can I reduce tension via scar revision?
I had surgery roughly 3.5 months ago. I had both lipo and gland removal. My concern is that as the scar tissue starts to build up the nipple is beginning to show through a tshirt again the way it did prior to surgery. My PS did give me a steroid shot about 4 weeks ago, but so far I have not seen much impact. My other (possibly biggest) concern is redness directly under the incision. Is there anything I can do on my end to help speed the recovery up? The redness is making the nipple appear bigger
Hi, my name is Dan, i had a gynecomastia liposuction surgery 4 month ago, and i am not sadisfied. I still feel swelling on my nipples, i think one of the probleme is because the doctor told me to not wear the vest. I need to know if will pass with time or if there is someting i can do!
I had my gynecomastia surgery On August 17, 2017. Both my surgeon and I noticed there are some asymmetry 12 days after the surgery. My surgeon said I should let it heal and get back to him in 3 months. Since it is now 4 months after the operation, I am getting concerned with the asymmetry as it has not faded away. Question: 1. Is this scar tissue or something else? 2. What can I do to solve this problem?
I had gynocomastia 4 months ago and had good results but i feel like they have become more puffy now, not nearly as bad as before but still puffier than i remember after surgery. At the one month mark, it was also less puffy than right now. I think it is scar tissue but what do you think? If it is scar tissue will it go away by itself even tho its been 4 months?
I had gyne surgery around 4 months ago. The sutures were too tight on the left side I think, there was a scab, and now I have those depigmented spots. They were initially red/pink, now they are whitish. They are more obvious in real life than in the picture. Some plastic surgeon recommended coconut butter to apply to regain brown pigmentation. Do you recommend that? or can dermatology help? or just leave it alone and it will regain pigmentation on its own? Thanks.
I am 4 months post-op with unsatisfactory results after a moderate case of gynecomastia which required lipo and direct incision. My PS cleared me of ALL physical activity and told me I could stop wearing the garment after only 10 days. He insists now that enough gland was removed and that the extreme puffiness/pointiness of the areola is due to sagging skin. If he is correct, is it possible that this sag could be from the premature removal of the garment and could this be permanent?
I had Gyno surgery (primarily gland excision) almost 4 months ago now. One side is healed just fine, but the other side still seems to be puffy for some reason. When I touch the area I can feel the scar on both sides, but nothing major. I went to my surgeon about 2 weeks ago, but I don't think he could see what I was talking about. Neither side had gyno very bad, but the one side actually looks worse now. I'm thinking maybe the skin didn't adhere back like it was supposed to on the one side?
