I'm planning to get a facial fat transfer but due to recovery am considering getting fillers to tide me over, and dissolving in prep for the fat transfer when time comes. Wondering if scar tissue or channels from the filler in 'virgin territory' affects the overall chance of a good outcome for the transfer. I know many people start with fillers, but since I haven't, is there an advantage to my face being unfilled before the fat procedure? Male, 30s
Hello! I got Permalip implants in both lips. Since theyve healed Ive had difficulties. They are not placed properly and I will be getting them removed soon. I am interested in getting a fat transfer to the lips after the removal of my implants. I am worried that fat will not take because of the scar tissue. Would fat graphing be a good permanent alternative after having my implants removed? Am I eligible despite having scar tissue in my lips? Very concerned would love some advice!
Hello several years I had a facial fat graft and my left cheek became unnaturally large but right cheek is normal. I don't know if it's simply too much fat, calcification of fat/granuloma/ scar tissue but my upper left cheek is big bulgy and looks horrible when I smile. Picture is not accurate as it is very prominent. Can I be safely reduced with 5fu and very dilute steroid injection or what about microlipo or excising some fat? What is the best approach. I need an expert to help me.
Five years ago, mymaxillofacial surgeon injected my right masseter muscle by needle of an anesthetic for temporary relief from bruxism pain. He hit an artery and gave me a very painful muscle hematoma which resulted in a cheek depression. I've been diagnosed withtethering to the dermis. I've been to two plastic surgeons, two maxillofacial surgeons and a physical therapist to help break down scar tissue. It has not helped. Drs. are afraid needle insertion will worsen it.
Lip fat transfer to replace permalip? I had permalip implants many years ago, which I'd now like to replace because they're too hard. There are softer options such as UltraSoft, and Advanta, but I cannot find any surgeons in the UK that offer this - So I am considering a fat transfer and understand the fat becomes permanent if it finds blood supply, but my question is, if the fat is injected into the scar capsule, where the permalip has been, does the scar tissue prevent the fat from getting the blood supply? Thank you!!
In 2014 I had fat graft to my forehead which later on was infected with mycobacteria Non tuberculosis. The treatment of draining combining with antibiotic went on for 1.5 years which resulted with scar tissues beneath the skin where the drainage was. I waited 1 year plus for the scar to settle before having Juvederm fillers. Its been 4 years & its barely even. Im depressed and feel like a freak. Hoping to find a permanent solution such as forehead implant. Is it possible?
I had a trigger point injection into masseter. Doctor bruised the muscle & nicked blood vessels; the bruise faded fast but left a permanent depression. Its been 10 months & there is remodeling of scar tissue with muscle involvement. Surgeon recommends Facial Fat Transfer. Id like to know if the fat can establish a blood supply with scar tissue present. Id rather do nothing than make it worse. It really bothers me but other people dont notice it. Its right under my cheekbone. Do you think the muscle fibrosis tethering to the dermis will resolve? Thanks!
I've had hardened scar tissue on my lower abdomen from Slim Lipo for 1 year and 2 months now. I've also had loss of subcutaneous tissue from aggressive Slim Lipo on one side of my abdomen, which there is still post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. Can Stem Cell Fat Grafting resolve my problem?
Hi)) My doctor offers me nano fat injections to improve acne scars. The procedure is similar to PRP but she also adds nano fat to plasma. According to my doc, it is the best option as it supposedly totally renews old skin and thus scar tissue improves. Should I go for it? Any contradictions or side effects? Additional info: I had Fraxel, TCA peel, Infini RF with PRP. Skin type III. Sarcoidosis in lungs. Thanks a lot in advance!
