I had an eyelid surgery to correct a mild ptosis. The documents say that my procedure in short was called 'levator aponeurosis plication, fat repositioning with 5 point fixation with a nylon stitch' Ever since I have suffered bad pain in the corner of my right eye. Its like a sharp muscle contraction, it isnt present when my eye is closed. 2 doctors have looked and cant feel the stitch. The pain isnt in the eye as it doesnt respond to anasthetic. My eyes are not dry. Can anyone help?
I had upper and lower blepharoplasty 18 days ago. Underneath the upper eyelid scars is a very thick rope. It is not above the skin. It is causing a visual ridge. It is continuing to get thicker despite massaging. In one large area it is easily a quarter of an inch thick. It is somewhat painful when touched. What is the best treatment for this ropiness?
I have had a few consultations for upper eyelid lift/bleparoplasty and two Drs suggested getting it done at same time as my BA and one Dr. said better to do separate and do eyelids while awake so he can be presise by having me open and close eyes. Which is better ease? I have anxiety thst i would be ok being awake for it..no worries about pain just the thought of what happening. Thanks
3 months ago my eyes sunk into the eye sockets within some hours. Now they look strange and small. In advance of this I had struck the top of my head on a metal bar maybe one week before I noticed the sunken eyes. At the beginning it was very difficult to move my eyes, also i had the feeling that my upper eyelids fall down. For 3 weeks the eyes and eye sockets pain. Now my eyes doesn't close completely and not synchronously. I am very scared I saw an oculist but he said nothing to the symptoms.
I have glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, PVD, and allergy eyes. I take Lumigan, and as soon as it arrives, I will be using Pataday. My eyes hurt, and aggravate me constantly when I am working. I drive a truck so it's a constant bother. My upper eye lids are hanging down below my eye brows. Would removal of the excess skin help with the constant pain, and aggravation.
I have been having such bad tearing burning pain in my lower eyelids to the top of my cheek, strained vision ,headaches,i usually have my right eye closed as much as possible or wear sun glasses and tape to the lower lid ..I have a suspicion it is ectropion but I am no doctor and I have no insurance and must wait and save for surgery ...what options do I have for pain ?any advice is greatly appreciated...also I worry of permanent damage if I have to wait please share your thoughts
My eyes appear tired, the right eye even seems higher and smaller than my right. There is pain around the right eye which feels like a deep ache. I've got my thyroid checked and the test came back normal, I've even had a brain scan and was told I have small lesions on the brain but that was it. I've been to an eye doc and he didn't find anything. What can be causing this and what can I do to make it better. I ask people if they notice my eye difference and they all say no until I take a picture.
I just had a quadruple blepharoplasty...mainly skin no fat on Monday and my stitches will be removed next Tuesday. My only complaint is that both of my OUTER CORNER EYEBALLS are very red and super sore...pain/pressure. Everything looks fine on the suture lines (no infection) I also had to D/C opthamalic ointment because I was allergic. I now just use eye drops to lubricate... My primary question? How much pressure is normal??? Redness?? Any other options to help soothe the pressure I DO ICE. Thank you!
