Hello 40s white male good health . I had a bad fall 15 months ago landed on my eye on sidewalk. It was badly bruised and got a small linear flat scar that has since faded but the puffiness did not get better . I had MRI 6 weeks after fall and nothing was broken . Report came back with soft tissue Edema in eye socket . I have since gone to eye doctors and derms and have been given zero guidance or treatment . Only 1 suggestion was possible it is lymphatic fluid and to use eye roller . Its not hard and doesnt hurt . Just puffy and when press on it its soft . Any thoughts ? Thank you
42y/o now. Had hyperthyroidism in 2019. Upp lids turned thick-looking, puffy and hooded. Doc said they cld be mild symptoms of TED but couldnt be sure. Had carbimazole 2yrs to normalise thyroid levels. Levels have then normalised, and though my lids look better aft that, they still dont look the same as my original lids. Cant tell if the thick puffy & hooded lids are TED, excess skin/fats, Edema, or ageing? What to do to restore my original upper eyelids?
Hello all! I tried jfiller May. Doc used too much.. 1cc each eye. I trusted and learned thats way too much for a first timer. I got edema pretty bad. He did one follow up of half of dissolver and a steroid. Didnt solve so I dissolved three weeks ago. Still have bad edema. Is it a good rule to get edema down before doing lower bleph as the trauma would cause worse edema?
I had a lower bleph with fat repositioning. After 4 weeks the results were perfect. But after a night out drinking, fluid built up under the eyes that persisted. It fluctuates throughout the day, it can be barely noticeable, other times quite a bit of edema. The surgeon dissolved pre existing tear trough filler prior to surgery. But I got a MRI done that shows 4 year old filler in the cheek area. The MRI shows no filler in tear trough. Could the previous cheek filler be causing the malar edema?
Hello I am 24 but I have these and it makes me looks soo bad as far I know I have them from always maybe it's geneticsmy parents are old so it's difficult to say my other siblings don't have them duh but unfortunately I do I need a proper detail answer if anyone can help I did my investigation but it's soo confusing some days it gets better with blepharoplasty other says it worsen it some says lasers can help Please help me out ?
I have swelling of the eyelids with edemic fluid depending on how I sleep or wether I drink alcohol or other factors.wproblem is the space between my eyes seem to be too long,so that the result would be that my eyebrows are pushed down,if there is any skin below it to be enough anyway,or my eye skin just below the upper eyelid will be pushed up and that leads to dry eyes and could be dangerous.but I don't know any solution to this long problem.with acetazolamide it(edemic fluid)disappears.
I had a lower and upper blepharoplasty exactly one year ago. I had severe chemosis afterwards. which resolved within a few months, however I still have very noticeable malar edema. I have been checked out by an opthamologist and a cornea specialist and I do not have dry eye. I am currently having lymphatic drainage massage done which seems to be helping briefly but does not complete resolve the swelling, it just appears better for a few days afterwards. Is there anything else I can do?
Hello, 9 months after blepharoplasty and swelling under my eyes won't go down. Doctor says that this is not because of surgery , but I never had such bags under my eyes before surgery. Nothing helps and I did manual massages for lymphatique drainage, Accent Prime procedures, i took Diuretics, no change. I'm desperate for other opinions. Will this ever go away? What can be done to solve my probem? Should a correction surgery be done? Thank you very much all for your reponses.
