Hello all! I tried jfiller May. Doc used too much.. 1cc each eye. I trusted and learned that’s way too much for a first timer. I got edema pretty bad. He did one follow up of half of dissolver and a steroid. Didn’t solve so I dissolved three weeks ago. Still have bad edema. Is it a good rule to get edema down before doing lower bleph as the trauma would cause worse edema?

Each provider will have their own opinion.
I think most plastic surgeons would like to see surrounding tissues back to baseline before doing surgery.
Based on your picture, I don’t see a strong indication for a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.
It looks like you have weakness in your lower eyelids, and a lack of midface volume is the primary issue, not fullness from the fat pads in the lower eyelids.
Talk to your provider or consult with oculoplastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, or plastic surgeons in your community.
Lower eyelid, blepharoplasty surgery can be tricky and should only be done when clearly indicated.
The procedure can leave undesirable outcomes if done, inappropriately or on patients or not good candidates.
