Age 67, My tongue is constantly hurting.i also bite inside of my mouth, which at times bleed. My tongue & my inner sidest get skin stuck under my implants. And i yank it out. My bottoms are all caped the same color as my implants. They look greyish white. Yes ive been to dentist he does a little filing.. Personally i think my mouth Is it possible to remove implants and caps and start over. I cant live with what i have . Kathie
I had ten implants placed 1/21. Crowns delivered 5/21. All posterior. Bad bite registry led to bad occlusion. Had permanent crowns placed, no provisionals. Many adjustments. Practice said is best we can do (for $50K). Went to another dentist who burred it all down, crowns and teeth 4x. Bite is gone. Hitting all anterior and canines. Lost gums and bone. Want $50K ++ to restore. Can I get 10 implants removed and go to dentures? Dont have all the money in the world and now swelling, losing teeth.
Do I have posterior bite collapse? One braces consult made my case out to be extreme and told me I have lost significan height in my face. Four others didnt agree at all. My X-rays however show vertical height loss. Tooth wear/grinding has been ruled out. I am missing upper premolars, upper left 2nd molar (congenitally) and lower 2nd molar had to be extracted 7 years ago due to super eruption/wisdom tooth. Whats going on here? And can I get implants/braces/surgery to fix height loss?
I had a very bad orthodontic treatment with asymmetrical extraction from lower left side of the jaw (premolor and canine). Now I am planning to get premolar substitution to get my bite back. Dental midline of lower jaw is shifted towards left side (about 5mm). So I want to know how important is dental midline. Does it cause functional issue or its all about aesthetic.
After my implant the doctor adjusted a flipper that was very uncomfortable since it pressured on the surrounding teeth instead of the implant site(then he released the pressure a little) a while afterwards he said i have generalized upper and lower mobility, my perio said it wasnt bone loss or anything but it was from a bad bite, and after my surgery my bite did change a lot (possibly because of the flipper it was too thick maybe) do i need braces to adjust the bite and stabilize my teeth?
This causes me some worries. Could this have future complications in any way? What impact can it have? When I start to bite on it, can the pressure on the implant cause the implant move towards the next tooth's root or lead to implant being loose?
i got 2 implants on the top of my mouth and its been 6 days i am taking antibiotics. the pain is gone except when i bite down by one side of my implants my tooth next to it hurts. its kind of a sharp pain and the top of my mouth is a little sore. is this normal i have been having a lot of anxiety about this i just want it to properly heal.
