Ive had a continuous odor and bad taste coming from my upper crowns that I had placed three years ago. The odor started immediately. Ive had numerous visits and conversations with my dentist who claims there is nothing wrong. Ive never had a problem prior to this. I had 6 crowns placed on my upper teeth.
I noticed after my second temp. Crown fell out from being unglued that it had an awful odor. Now that my perm. Crown is in 3 days ago I keep getting a nasty odor from that crowned tooth area. I blotted the gums with guaze and there was little blood that smelled so bad I felt nauseous. And my crown wiggles when I bite down. It is #10
Hello! I have a crown on my front tooth. I had the crown replaced about 3 times due to its bad odor. Its so irritating and frustrating when the doctors dont know what causes the odor. I went to see a new dentist two days ago she suggested to get a deep cleaning done. I gave it a try and I feel like it made the smell even worse. Its been about two days since I got it cleaned. The doctor also said that she doesnt see anything wrong with the root canal or my tooth. Can someone tell me whats going on?
Aside from the swelling, it is extremely painful to chew when food gets in between the crown and touches my swollen gums. Also my gums are receding the crown in that i see black at the gum line of my crown. I have no idea what is happening. Eating harder foods is very difficult! Help!
Hello. I had a root canal about 6 months ago and they just recently put my crown on. Before all if this ,my tooth was abseced and it smelled horrible. Now that I got the perm crown put on, it still hurts when food gets caught in there and it still smells when I rub my tooth and floss. Why is this ? My dentist told me it might need to heal more? But for all the money I paid I didn't expect pain and smell
I was have a crown at my front teeth but after 1 month its gettin stinky and I taken off my crown but my tooth is still have an bad smell then couple of weeks i pulled out my tooth then my gums have an small hole and have an odor what should i do?
A dentist I recently saw said there is gap between the crown and the neighboring tooth, which led to food tracked there, or maybe decay, but he couldn't see decay behind the crown because the crown is made of metal and X-ray doesn't show behind the crown. He strongly suggest I have the crown replaced, but my crown was put in less than 2 years ago. My concern is, when I smell strong odor from floss, would my breath smell bad when I talk to people? Should I get the crown replaced as soon as possible?
I just got my only stainless steel crown and it's on my molar. My teeth on the opposite side of my mouth don't touch now. When I look at the inside of my mouth the crown goes in at least a half size bigger than my tooth into the roof of my mouth. It's only been four days and I'm already smelling and tasting a bad odor.
I recently (<1 mo) had 2 cosmetic crowns placed over dental implants on 2 adjacent teeth (#29). (implants placed months before) Now that crowns are on, EVERY time I WaterPik between them there is a strong Sulphur smell unlike any other mouth odor I've previously had from decay or stuck food, etc. And JUST when I am at those teeth. Not attractive & I hope not indicative of a major problem. This occurs even if using the Water Pik 2x daily - so this odor is 'developing' quickly. Any thoughts?
