Sulphur odor every time I WaterPik between 2 new dental implants with crowns?

I recently (<1 mo) had 2 cosmetic crowns placed over dental implants on 2 adjacent teeth (#29). (implants placed months before) Now that crowns are on, EVERY time I WaterPik between them there is a strong Sulphur smell unlike any other mouth odor I've previously had from decay or stuck food, etc. And JUST when I am at those teeth. Not attractive & I hope not indicative of a major problem. This occurs even if using the Water Pik 2x daily - so this odor is 'developing' quickly. Any thoughts?

When you use the term cosmetic crown I am assuming you are referring to an all ceramic crown.  Typically these crowns can have a zirconia substructure for strength and aesthetics.  There was recently a study by Clinicians Report that discussed the difficulty in obtaining crown cementation of crowns with zirconia due to surface hardness.  If a crown becomes uncemented there can be a foul odor that comes from that area.If you have been taking very good care of these crowns at home and removing any food debris and keeping them clean then I would suspect what I mentioned above.  I would return to your dentist and see if they can determine if the crowns are loose are uncemented.
