Why don't my teeth on the opposite side of my new crown touch?

I just got my only stainless steel crown and it's on my molar. My teeth on the opposite side of my mouth don't touch now. When I look at the inside of my mouth the crown goes in at least a half size bigger than my tooth into the roof of my mouth. It's only been four days and I'm already smelling and tasting a bad odor.

 Due to bite issue, it is best you contact your dentist or dentist near you, to redo your temporary crown, swelling needs to be addressed.

I'm assuming what you have is a temporary crown since stainless steel crowns are not permanent. Your bite should be adjusted so that all your teeth touch. You should go back to him/her and have it adjusted.

While they serve a good purpose, stainless steel crowns are not definitive treatment.  This tells me that the dentist intends to remove and replace this at some point.  It DOES "buy some time" so it may not be right away, but there is more going on.  Return to the dentist to have them adjust it.  Should not take long.
