Long story short had my first VI precision plus peel mid October. Esthetician told me I could go walk immediately after with just a baseball hat (still had peel solution on so so sunscreen). I walked 45 min outside. Did I wreck my skin? No sunburn but 2.5-3 weeks after my Jawline/cheeks turned stretchy/doughy like they lost elasticity. Is this skin damage from my peel and not having sunscreen on for that walk immediately after? As mentioned mid October and Minnesota so maybe UV index of 1-2
I got a light chemical peel (glycolic acid) done about 5 days ago, and I'm wondering just how careful I need to be about sun exposure. I wanted to take a day trip, but the weather is supposed to be sunny, and the plan was to go to some gardens, etc. No hiking or tanning on a beach, but I imagine I'll be outside a fair amount. My dermatologist only applied the lightest percentage peel, and I haven't peeled at all since the treatment. Should I still avoid the day trip?
I had a light chemical peel the 19th of April. After the peeling phase, I did have some reaction to sun exposure, which produced a rash like reaction that went away after washing my face and applying moisturizer. I'm asking when I don't have to worry about having that kind of reaction happen to me, since the reaction does seem to itch.
is the Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation caused by a Chemical Peel looked upon differently than a Hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure ? Will Lasers Like Q Switched ND YAG 1064nm help reduce Hyperpigmentation caused by Glycolic Acid Peel ?
For two years, my hands were directly exposed to sunlight while driving my scooter. The temperatures were more than 38 degrees and the UV index was very high and I remember that my hands used to burn. My arms are completely normal because I used to wear a sweat shirt but I did not wear gloves on my hands. Now, I have tanned hands which look completely abnormal if compared to my hands. I wear sunscreen everyday and I have tried a lot of other things but nothing has worked. Will chemical peel help?
Hi, I got a mild chemical peels a few months ago. I completely forgot to put on sunscreen the first day but I was working at home in a computer the whole day without no exposure to direct sunlight . I didnt realized it until the evening that I missed this very important step. Could I have permanently damage my skin? I am asking this question now because I started to.m noticed a lot of fine lines in my lower check when I smiled and they were never there before. I am 42 years old. Thanks so much
I recently got clear and brilliant March 12th and followed up with a hydra facial where she added on a micro peel two days ago. Immediately after my face was very red and everything she put on stung, now I have red splotchy dry patches and my skin looks worse than before procedure. I have been using vanicream face wash and lotion, will this go away? I also have a tropical vacation May 3rd, was this peel too soon /will my skin be allowed to have any sun exposure?
