After mild chemical peel, I forgot to put on sunscreen the 1st day but was indoor the whole time. Is my skin permanently damage?

Hi, I got a mild chemical peels a few months ago. I completely forgot to put on sunscreen the first day but I was working at home in a computer the whole day without no exposure to direct sunlight . I didn’t realized it until the evening that I missed this very important step. Could I have permanently damage my skin? I am asking this question now because I started to.m noticed a lot of fine lines in my lower check when I smiled and they were never there before. I am 42 years old. Thanks so much

Chemical peels are great for treating sun spots, wrinkles, fine lines, and textural irregularities. If you continue to use sunscreen and avoid the sun after your chemical peel you should be fine.  Please consult an expert in chemical peels for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

Your skin should be fine. Just wear sunscreen from this point on. If you still have some fine lines that are bothersome, you might consider getting s more aggressive peel. The VI peel is a good option. It is a medium depth peel, penetrating down to the dermis. It is good for fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots and acne scars. It improves the tone and texture of your skin.
