I had buccal fat removal done several years ago which left me with scars, dents, and asymmetry. The surgeon did an incisions on the outer side of my face which left me with scars and dents.Incision points are also not symmetrical (on the right side did he actually took fat from lower part of upper cheek since that side is more hollow and incision position more above?)What can I do about it? I heard fat grafting is not a permanent solution
Hi! I'm 25 and underwent buccal fat removal in February of this year because I always wanted a slimmer face, before this became a trend. I requested that this be done modestly and that only about half of the buccal fat pad be removed, but unfortunately, I think more was removed. I am now noticing sagging nasolabial folds appearing that I haven't seen before. Is the buccal fat removal the cause of this? And what are ways to reverse this, other than filler? Can this be fixed?
I am 56 years old and need to do a revision on my facelift due to laxity. My doctor ssuggested I incorporate a buccal fat removal so I will have less heaviness after the revision. Is this a good idea? would it improve the sag next to the marionette lines?
I had buccal removal almost 2 years ago. I like my results very much, my cheekbones pop way more! However I noticed after the swelling went away around 8 months that one side of my face definitely had fat still there. I can feel it as well when I poke the area unlike the other side of my face where it feels completely hollow. They had a hard time pulling the fat out of that side during the procedure. I brought it up to my surgeon but he said I would have to get cheek lipo... any advice?
I had buccal fat removal five years ago in the U.A.E. Ive gained weight and now I can bite my cheeks from the inside (again). I was told that I have underdeveloped chin, thus this makes may face look round. I am not considering a chin implant. I just want to know if it is possible to have a second buccal fat removal surgery? And is it safe to do it again? Are there any other alternative procedures? My mum is in her late 50s her cheeks look full and round so I think it is genetic.
Hello. So I would like to know if only a small amount was taken out from the bichat fat pad and not a great amount that would make a difference for the patient. Can later on the patient request a revision and have more cc of bichat fat pad taken out? (If not all of it was taken out and also not a good amount was taken out). Is it possible? Like for example, in a breast lift if the patient isnt happy with the final result they can get a retouch surgery without pain the surgery price again.
I got buccal fat removal few years ago but I have since put on 30 lbs. I am chubby again but not as bad as before. I am wanting the surgery again, is it possible there is more buccal fat to be removed? How much does a person have? Attached is the photo of my buccal fat pads originally removed. They are each the size of a quarter.
I had buccal fat removal a year ago. Unfortunately, my cheeks are now asymmetrical. One side is thinner than the other. Will subsequent aging even it out or do you recommend I do a revision to excise out the buccal fat pads on the fatter cheek?
Underwent bichectomy 7 months ago; the surgeon only removed a couple of CCs of fat from the fat pads. Although the results are slightly noticeable, Id like a hollower appearance. Would a repeat bichectomy with full removal of the fat pads be problematic? Worried about scar tissue build up from prior procedure and increased risk of adverse outcomes. Thank you in advanced.
