I had buccal fat removal done several years ago which left me with scars, dents, and asymmetry. The surgeon did an incisions on the outer side of my face which left me with scars and dents.Incision points are also not symmetrical (on the right side did he actually took fat from lower part of upper cheek since that side is more hollow and incision position more above?)What can I do about it? I heard fat grafting is not a permanent solution

I really can't believe what I saw and read. I'm truly sorry for you. Unfortunately, you chose the wrong doctor. Buccal fat removal should not be done with an external incision! First of all, it is a risky surgery due to its location and even the slightest mistake could cause facial paralysis. We should be really grateful that you do not have facial paralysis from a doctor who performs this surgery with external incisions.

Unfortunately, the procedures you need to have done now and the recovery process are not as easy as the first one. First of all, scar revision should be performed. You can get support from co2 laser and skin tightening lasers. I would not recommend proceeding with a surgical procedure at this stage.
