I am 2 years post op of getting my breast reduction surgery covered by my insurance. Less than a month after the surgery my skin started bleeding and the surgeon diagnosed me with wound dehiscence. It was treated and closed up but after letting them settle 6 months to 1 year later I also noticed that the shape was very uneven. I am also on a weight loss journey and worried about how my breast will look after. What can be done to improve my breast appearance after I reach my of losing 20-30 lbs?
I got a Breast Reduction (2nd) late last year and I was really happy with the results but noticed that one was a little larger than the other. I wasnt worried though because slight breast asymmetry is common. My doctor called a few months later with my pathology results and there was a PASH in one boob and Ductal Hyperplasia in the other which is abnormal because Im only 19. Now the boobs are very noticably different and Im concerned, does the pathology have to do with it? I am 5 7 and 120
Had a breast reduction from 34D/DD to 34D a year ago. 134 g and 137g was removed only. Wanted easy and small breasts, so I got a small re-reduction (through the horisontal scar of the anchor) free of cost. Still NOT happy, now only 49g and 84g was removed, still 34C. Could I be a candidate for third operation, at least to the bigger breast (my left) to match the smaller one? If the aerola could be moved 1,5cm to the middle, could the breast be reduced through that plus through the vertical scar?
I had a Breast reduction done many years ago and have very painful scar tissue as a result of it. My breasts are also 2 VERY different sizes where do you find a bra with a B cup and a C cup : ( Will my insurance pay for this disaster to be corrected?
I am F, 24, 160lbs. I recieved a unilateral breast reduction with a lift. I had extreme asymmetry. The right breast was a D cup with lots of loose, sagging skin. The smaller breast was a B cup. After the surgery I am left with significantly different areola sizes. The areola on the larger breast is very small and round. On the smaller breast the areola is larger, and more oval-shaped. I don't understand how this happened. Surely this could have been avoided? Please help
Hi! I have a significant breast asymmetry and some mild-moderate skin laxity post weight loss. I dont actually mind my right (the bigger breast) but assume the best/easiest route aside from augmentation to even out the difference would be a single breast reduction. Im 411, 98lbs and roughly an E Cup on my right side, Idk on my left. I think my insurance utilizes the Schnur Scale but I was wondering if its possible to get a single breast reduction covered by insurance? If not Ill start saving
breast reduction on the left side to correct asymmetry. Areola reduction on the right side to match the left. For reference this is done a few years ago. There hasn't been much change except for a little droopiness on my right side from gravity. My nipples are inches different in height, as well as my areolas are different sizes. How can I correct this with surgery? Do I need implants? Any help is appreciated Thanks.
Had reduction to fix asymmetry, but still a big difference in size and shape. I also seem to have a lot of side boob. Will a revision easily fix this? Any advice and honest opinions really appreciated. I will attach my before and after photos. Clearly big improvement but still very unhappy. Unfortunately I cant afford implants as an option.
I had asymmetrical breasts so I had a breast reduction on just the bigger side. The nipple of the breast that was worked on is a lot higher. I read another post of someone who had a nipple placement that was too high after a breast reduction and the comments from surgeons said it usually stays that way. My surgeon told me breasts drop after breast reduction but does that not apply to the nipple? Im two weeks out of surgery but now Im worried I made a mistake. I just want to look normal :(
I am getting surgery at the end of the month to fix asymmetry. The plan is to reduce the size of 1 of my breasts to match the other + lift to both breasts. At time of surgery Both my breasts will be swollen due to pre menstruation. They are much bigger during this time. Will it cause the doctor to reduce my breast to the size of the other swollen breast? I'm afraid it will affect my results and they will look uneven when the swelling reduces after menstruation. They do change drastically in size.
