Had a breast reduction from 34D/DD to 34D a year ago. 134 g and 137g was removed only. Wanted easy and small breasts, so I got a small re-reduction (through the horisontal scar of the anchor) free of cost. Still NOT happy, now only 49g and 84g was removed, still 34C. Could I be a candidate for third operation, at least to the bigger breast (my left) to match the smaller one? If the aerola could be moved 1,5cm to the middle, could the breast be reduced through that plus through the vertical scar?
Answer: Third breast reduction A third breast reduction, or "re-reduction," can be an option, but it comes with some specific risks. One of the primary concerns is preserving the blood supply to the nipple and areola. If the blood supply is compromised, it could lead to nipple necrosis, though this is rare with careful planning. Altered nipple sensation or loss of sensation is also a potential risk. An experienced surgeon will understand the implications of your previous surgeries and have experience with revision procedures. To minimize risks, it's essential to consult with an experienced plastic surgeon who specializes in breast revision procedures. They can assess your previous surgery and create a tailored plan to ensure the best outcome while addressing the unique challenges of a third breast reduction. Answer: Redo breast reduction Hi,Redo breast reductions are not uncommon but do carry higher risks of wound and blood flow issues due to the effects of the first operation. There are techniques that can be used though, and the right procedure will depend on the consistency of the breast tissue and the degree of fat present. If you feel the surgeon is not the one for the job, yuo can seek a second opinion, but the key will be to have the surgeon describe which technique was used inthe first procedure to allow the second surgeon an understanding of the current blood supply to the nippleJeremy Hunt

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Smallbreasts, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Third re-reduction Revision reduction can be complicated due to the altered vascularity to the nipple areolar complex (NAC). When the details of the prior procedure are known the risks are less, however NAC transposition secondarily can compromise the already altered blood supply to the nipple. With regards to your specific question, each successive re-operation increases the risks of surgery. That being said, it is possible, however, careful consideration must be given to the remaining vascular supply to the NAC. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS). Answer: Q:Would a third breast reduction be an option or too risky? Still different size and still not 34B after re-reduction. (photos) The breasts can be reduced again, and this is not that uncommon. Based upon his/her training, education, and experience, your PS may have felt that the skin envelope and fullness generated from a the breast reduction was more aesthetically pleasing. Communicating specific breast sizes between patient and surgeon is very difficult as bra manufacturers do not follow a standard size chart. Going too small can sacrifice the shape of the breasts. The nipple has to have a blood supply to survive from the underlying tissue. Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Los Angeles, CA
