Hi so Im 21 and I have the sickle cell trait And I have a 45 degree scoliosis however its still considered moderate as they have confirmed there is no need for operation I also have an IUS Mirena coil but if needed to I would remove it for the procedure I wanted to know if I would still be able to have a bbl
I really want to get bbl or lipo however I have sickle cell disease SC my blood level is 11 and never had a crisis besides that I have spoken o my haematology doctor and h said I'm good. Is there any surgeons ThAts perform bbl with a patient with sickle cell
I spoke to my doctor and she told me because I have sickle cell that I am a higher risk than a person without sickle cell. I understand that however I am very healthy I have not had a crisis since I was a small child and I have a very good hemoglobin level. So because I have this disorder do I really have to give up on wanting the body that I want or is it still possible?
Hello, I am scheduled for a BBL next month. My blood work came back and my platelets are low 119 10 *3 . I know the normal range is 150-440 10*3. After examining my blood work. I have sickle cell Traitnot the disease. Macrocytes were labeled slight. I dont drink and I am not HIV positive nor do I have Hepitits C. My PT NIR and PT are within range and not on the broader of any of the ranges. I frequently alternate a plant based diet as well. My hemoglobin is at 13. Can I have surgery?
After gaining the required weight for a skinny bbl and several lab tests later, it was confirmed that I have both thalassemia & sickle cell traits. Both my choice surgeon & back up surgeon have now said Im high risk & they can no longer take me on as a patient for this procedure. The fact that Im just finding this out proves Ive lived my whole life this way with no complications ever. Does this truly mean, I can no longer consider having this procedure done?
I've been wanting a bbl & breast augmentation for about 4yrs now. I have sickle cell sc, my hemoglobin is usually a 9. I haven't had any crisis for 7yrs & keep up with my health for the most part. Yet I'm still having trouble finding a doctor that's comfortable with performing the procedure. Can anyone point me to a couple doctors that don't mind? ..I am open to even doing an awake procedure.
Im interested in getting a bbl, but I have sickle cell trait. Ive heard some physicians refuse to perform surgery on patients with sickle cell, but I havent seen much about those solely with the trait. Are there any possible complications I should know about? Ive never had problems working out or staying active, and when Ive donated blood, Ive always had enough hemoglobin, even for the double donations.
