Hello, I have a horizontal line above my upper lip, I have heard it referred to as a 2nd smile line also. Ive tried a small amount of Botox but it did not work. Filler in that space seems like it would look very unnatural. How do you treat this? Wondering if botox was not used on the right muscles. Its apparently not something my clinician has seen very often so Im hoping theres insight here. Thanks
I've heard that injecting Botox at the philtrum column will make the upper lip less protruding and make the upper lip thinner, is that true? I've also heard someone ended up having thinner lips due to injection to the depressor septi (close to the orbicularis oris muscle), Thank you for reading and answering my question
My botox lip flip is wearing off (6 units total upper lip only) and I have visable extra skin on my upper lip now. I did not like the results or what it did to my smile. Im in the home stretch and now this. Everything I read says your lips will go back to normal, I cant find anything to confirm that stretched lip skin can happen. I am so afraid this is permanent. I will not consider injections again. Is there anything else I can do? Will it resolve when the botox completely wears off?
I have gotten lip flip a few times over an 18 month period. I have never had any problems with weakness in my upper lip until the most recent time. I cant hold liquid in my mouth such as using mouthwash or spit properly. Drinking can be slightly awkward. Question is: is this cumulative, will this always be experienced if I get lip flip from here on out or is it due to poor technique, etc from the injector?
Last year I began to notice a line appear above my lip which I believe could be from side sleeping. I saw a cosmetic nurse who suggested lip filler to pump up the lips so the line wouldnt appear. It didnt seem to help much with the appearance of the line which I believe is becoming more prominent. What should I be looking at getting done to treat this area?
I posted a few days ago about Botox above upper lip for smoker's lines and I thank you all for your reply. It is now 4 days now since 4 droplets of Botox was administered to my upper lip under my nose ( 7 units total to forehead and upper lip). I now have a pulling sensation by my nose when I smile. It is extremely uncomfortable! I have had filler to my lip previously but now I look like marge Simpson. I cannot smile!! What can I do to decrease the profusion and stiffness I have?!
My teeth show more on one side and my upper lip covers my teeth on the other side so I want my lip to be lifted on this side so my teeth show more and my smile looks more symmetrical. Is that possible from botox on the upper lipline on the side where lip in droopy to lift it upward? Or will it make it more dropped?
