Will Botox in the upper lip line (lip lift or flip) lift the lip so there is more teeth show when I smile? (Photo)

Question

My teeth show more on one side and my upper lip covers my teeth on the other side so I want my lip to be lifted on this side so my teeth show more and my smile looks more symmetrical. Is that possible from botox on the upper lipline on the side where lip in droopy to lift it upward? Or will it make it more dropped?

It will not usually show more teeth and gum, plus it can be strategically placed to actually prevent a gummy smile by injecting a small amount under each nostril

Neuromodulators like Botox are sometimes used to lift the corners of the mouth to bring up the corners of the lips. It can also be placed into different muscles to "flip" the upper lip slightly. However, another option in your case might be lip fillers to address the asymmetry and add some nice fullness to the lip. Your option would be to have a gummy smile treatment with Botox, which is Botox to help lower the lip to match the other side. We would not be able to place Botox to lift the lip upward. With the other side of your lip being lowered slightly it would make your smile symmetrical. Hope this helps!

Hi there,
unfortunately it is unlikely that you will gain more teeth show from a botox lip flip. The levator muscles that lifts the upper lip is located in a different area and when treated will actually cover your teeth more. the only way to gain more show on your teeth would be to do a surgical lip lift, however, this would shorten the distance between your upper lip and the bottom of you nose. that being said you already have a short distance there, so it's unlikely that you would benefit from a surgical lip lift.

Hey there. In order to lift the smile the technique applie is different; possibily if will would with botox on your lower lip depressors, so that your zigomaticus muscles and risoris take more control of yout smile.
Even so, from what I can see, you have a small assimetry of your upper lip, wich would be suitable for hialuronic acid correction.
