The incision pain is managed with the pain meds but the back pain sitting and standing is constant. I feel that it's gotten worse. When I sit it's knumb and painful and standing it's hurting even though I am staying bent and using a walker. The area that hurts is where the bruising is really bad. I am trying to cut down on pain meds but the only time I get relief is with the max dose for about 1.5 hours and can only take it every 4 hours. I had back issues prior to surgery. HELP
I am 8 days post op from a lower body lift with replacement of silicone breast implants (400cc to 550cc). I was 179 on surgery day and am still at 177. My size 10 jeans still fit the same and I guess I am freaking out. 12 lbs of skin were removed during the procedure. I know swelling can last a while, but can I safely assume that when the swelling subsides I can at least expect the 12lb weight loss and a size change???
Ive had minimal pain, just sore and tight. , but is there anything I can do to alleviate this lower back pain that seems to run across just above my incisions? Im walking upright a little more each day, I cant get comfortable sitting up upright or back. My butt is killing me sitting on it.
I am post op day 9 from a belt lipectomy, tummy tuck and arm lift. I have had a pretty easy journey with pain hovering 5-6 out of 10 and sometimes 7. I went to my surgeon Wednesday PO day 5 and was changed from hospital garment to design by Veronique. It hurts my ribs, my crotch and makes me sore all over. I'm going to go in to my dr and order a different one (knee Knee length not bathing suit style) tomorrow but am just wondering besides the swelling what is the purpose?
I had a LBL 6 days ago and I'm unable to fully stretch my back. I put pillows to raise my back and sometimes I find it very comfortable to sleep in a siting position. I can't sleep on my sides at all but the only thing that really annoys me now is that my buttock hurt a lot due to the fact that I'm sitting on it all the time while in a chair or on the couch or even the bed. Is there any other position that could make me feel more comfortable? Thanks
It's more numb on the side where there's a tiny infection. Is the numbness from the infection or is it a sign that the infection might be deeper than we think? Just got out on 2 new oral antibiotics. Just nervous.
At 4 weeks post op, I still feel tightness and have swelling in my frontal abdomen area. Last week my surgeon gave me the ok to try to lie flat on my back, and I tried that for a few nights and couldn't find a comfortable position. I want to know when will I be able to lie flat on my back and sides, and also be able to walk faster and regain flexibility. My surgeon is amazing and told me that my body will let know. I just wish for a more average number post op of like how many weeks or months?
